Have been looking around for Alloys for my Storme in urban bronze Ex. How much did it cost and what are the specs.

Or thinking of getting the ones on storme in the enclosed snap.

This design was never available on production storme AFAIK.

Similar looking 17" design from Aria/Hexa/Storme is available readily.

Considering the Hexa 17" design, what would be ideal size of shoes for it. I suppose it should be 235/55 R17.

Also what would be the demerits and merits of such an upsizing.

standard tyre size by tata is 235/70/16, but when you add an inch of wheels size you subtract 5 out of side wall so you get 235/65 R17.

FIY Kia Karnival wears tyres of size 235/60 R18.

Similarly Hexa has 19 inch wheel so subtract 15 out side wall you get 235/55R19.

Why this setup because most vehicles use same /similar drive-train and its gear ratios so they keep the same overall diameter of the tyre across certain platform.

So the Ideal recommended size is 235/65 R17.
Advantages of plus sizing wheels are better handling on smooth roadsand less weights when balancing tyres. (but with decreasing side wall there is greater chance of tyre bursting due to potholes)

17, 18, 19 inch tyre compared with 16 inch tyre.

Yes those are 17 inch 8j wheels. I got a good deal on them from Hot Tracks Bangalore. Since these were the ones in their stock got it for 50k for a set of 4. They also had few stocks of OZ Racing, MSW, TSW, Sparco etc., so you can check them out. Any MSW not in their stock will cost around a lakh and others 1.2 lakhs +.
Tyres are Conti SC5 225/45/17 costed around 47k for set of 4. I wanted to go for Michelin PS4 but they were not in stock.

Overall very happy with the alloys and tyres. Last Goa trip it took some beating on many pot holes at Tumkur Road but it held up well.

Was in the market for some wheels for the new Swift. Wanted to upsize too but had budget constraints.

Sometime back I saw a black previous-generation Swift with Ciaz rims and it looked dope. So decided to go with Ciaz rims and 195 section Michelin rubber.

Irrespective of budget, this looks much cleaner. Most of the affordable aftermarket alloys scream for attention and give ricer vibes.
I think the Ciaz rims are a direct fit on the Swift. Can you please confirm that the PCD, Hub centre size, offset and other rim specifications are directly compatible with current Swift. Thank You.

Hi. Yes direct fit to the Swift. Checked the specifications later and they were same.
