The alloys would have looked a lot better on a black getz.

Honda City shod with 15" HR wheels and 205/50/R15 Maxxis again. Sorry about the funny camera angles, not much of a choice there as I'm located on a very busy square hence unable to manage picture perfect shots.

15's on getz are a bit over-kill,17's are suerly ment to kill dosent it grind with the wheel arc's,on smooth roads these tyres are excellent, but on bad roads pot holes the driver jumps on the seat if he not wearing the seatbelts

I agree with all, but like I said its the owner's choice and i could say much!!! You all are saying this, there was a 17" Design in Bronze gold finish which i would have got, it was SUPER hot, but the owner wanted chrome!!!

What are the make and cost of the alloys on the White Getz?

IMO the alloys are excellent but would suit a bigger car/suv. Just like the pimp my ride stuff.

Alloys & Tubeless

Hi Guys,

I have to share this with all of you. I had purchased a set of Alloys and Apollo Accelere tyres for my Indica lastyear. You can find the mention to it in this thread itself. I had purchased them from Karol Bagh. The tyres have run pretty good and done 22K till now.

The first instance happened with me when the tyres were not very old and a bad pit blew my tyre with its side wall getting damaged. When I got down to change the tyre the key to open the alloys didn't fit into the spanner. "The shopkeeper did not tell the key needs a diff size spanner" (i took it as my own mistake and brought a new spanner)
I was with my wife and daughter and was left helpless in the middle of nowhere, glad my brother was near and he fetched up.
This tyre is now repaired and running with tube.

Now this time just two days back another tyre burst again with the damage on side-wall. this will again be repaired and will now run on tube when i got down to change the tyre, the key broke inside the nut and I was again left helpless and had to park my car in a strangers house for the night. In the morning I brought a new key from Noida Sec 16 and got the tyre repaired.

Somehow I feel that only those alloys should be brought which don't require some special nuts and a key to open. Finally what good are tubeless if their walls are so fragile and render you and your car useless in the middle of nowhere.

I used to feel that I am very safe with tubeless tyres and alloys but somehow these incidents have left me feeling very unsecure to undertake long journeys.

The Lenso alloys on your (Ghostrider) Ikon look very nice. How much did they cost you? Can you please let me know what is the offset of these wheels.

Regards

Jaskirat

Jaskirat, I bought them after a lot of research and hunting though my regular dealer in South Mumbai (Opera house). The tyres (Yokohama S-drives) were bought through him as well.
Offset of the wheels is +38, which is the correct offset for the Ikon.

Don't ask about the cost, since the alloys and tyres burned a massive hole in my pocket, and I get indigestion just thinking about it.
