@ Nikhil - Based on your inputs, I picked up set of 4 185/70/14 ZLOs today for my Swift.
I was in a catch 22 between XM1+ and ZLO and my priority was Ride quality + cost. Finally zeroed in on ZLO. Your staff (inside the reception + outside) at langford road were very courteous and helpful. I also got the usual 30% off on services for being Team BHPian.

Thank you for your valuable inputs! 100% Reliable

Cheers

2). 500/- for the old tyres is ok. Some people may have given you more, but for worn out JKs, this is in the general ballpark. Though, to be honest I think you should have got a little more. Maybe 700/- or so but it's difficult to say anything without looking at the tyre itself.

Just out of curiosity, how much do you recon i would get for a set of AD-07's run around 26k kms? :D

I'm thinking of going for MRF Z-LO for my Tata Indigo (2004, LX) but a bit confused about the size.

Z-LO brochure says it is available for Indigo (stock 175/65 R14) but again the Z-LO brochure does not list this size and the closest size is is 185/70 R14.

Is it alright to go with 185/70 R14?

Depends on how much tread they have left. Also, normal rules dont apply to AD07s. People have been selling them for 4k a tyre after running them for 10k kms.

185/70-14 is the wrong size. When MRF says it's available for the Indigo, they mean the upsize, which is, 195/60-14.

I will not recommend such a massive upsize for an Indigo though.

Thanks Nikhil.

If Z-LO is not available for Indigo, what other option do you suggest keeping in mind ride comfort and average tyre life. Don't really care about the performance angle much since it is an Indigo and driver driven.

Yesterday I bought a ZLO 195/60 from MRF Tyredome, Kumbakonam for Rs. 4650 for my Fiat Linea.
I got a burst tyre while crossing Neyveli. The old tyre is Goodyear GT3. Already I was zeroed in ZLO. So I bought this tyre and now I am using it with Stepney. After 45K Kms, I will replace all 4 tyres with ZLO.
Tyre looks broader than other 195 tyres.

Hi karthik, since you have a Linea you can exploit the tires to the max potential SO post your review of these tires once you munch up a few hundred kms!.

please keep us updated,as even i am thinking of it for the linea

Guys, I just use it on my Stepney. Will upgrade all wheels with ZLO after 45k kms only.

Guys,
I am getting my Punto Emotion next week and the first thing that I will be doing is taking the car to either Saifee or Pal Tyres to install either Yokohama C-drives or MRF Z.L.O.
After reading this thread I've decided to opt for ZLO, will keep you posted how the tyres and car behaves soon.

Cheers

These being performance tyres, how long are they expected to last if maintained well ( ie rotated, aligned etc ) and driven under normal/average Indian road conditions ?

At least 40K or less ?

Small Update about the ZLO, have been using it for last 3 months and cover around 7k kms on these .

On the recenty trip to ckikmaglur for the Bangalore TBHP meet, pushed my Ritz to the max and i must say the ZLO performed exceptional well .

Even on those twist and turns the grip was superb and i was able to maintain constant high speed.

So anyone thinking about getting ZLO, i will advise just go for it, these tyres are superb.

Cheers.

How would you rate Bridgestone my-01 in comparison to ZLO .i found the side walls of the ZLO too jazzy for my liking.

How about the road noise? Are they comparable to A-Drives in terms of noise?

Very difficult to say. I am expecting less than 40k kms but the MRFs could surprise me! See, it's very unfair to the tyre to start judging it before it has even completed on full cycle!

The ZLOs would be much better in terms of grip but not as silent.

In the city, they both are on par but I feel the ZLOs are slightly more noisy on the highway.
