Oh. I'm using apollo acceleres if that helps . Why don't you try finding in michelin xm1+? I still suggest you PM nikhilb2008 or iraghava regarding this. They're the tire gurus on the forum. . They'll be able to guide you more accurately.

Michelin XM1+ is on my list but its not that SPORTY... If i do not have any other option i mite as well settle for xm1+.. Just checking out the other options as I prefer this set to be comparitively sporty..

Btw, any idea about the prices of XM1+ and Bridgestone POtenza???

I'm using the XM1+ 175/70 R13 and pretty satisfied with the performance.

By sporty, do you mean the looks ?

If you want Bridgestone, I guess the "Turanza ER-60" is available at this size.

You can also check out tyres from continental, Apollo Aceleres or the Yokohama A-drives.

PM "Nikhilb2008" and he'll be able to tell you the options along with the prices.

I do agree with @para_7k. I also use XM1+ 175/70 R13 and performance is very good. Road grip is fantastic.

Turanza also doesnt look sporty. It will give a worse ride quality compared to the XM1+.

I think you should just go in for the XM1+ blindly.

If you want a sporty looking tyre, then go in for 185/60 r14 Yoko ES100

Hi Nikhil,
I should have thanked you much earlier for the SSW 6.5J 14" alloys that i picked up. The ES100's are nice also.

There are 2-3 instances that i have heard what seems to be a scrape sound with the wheel arch. But they are when the car goes over the wide humps which are with cobbled blocks at a more than normal speed and once when the left side of the car was passing over a mound of mud on a narrow road.

The 185/60-14" are the nearest to stock dia but are wider. That's why the sound of the (minor) scrape i guess. However there are no marks/cuts/degradations on the tyres due to this.

On the overall, it seems to be a good option.

@maverick236,
XM1+ fits in i10 stock rims. You can go for it without a second thought. I am using with stock rims and have done around 10K now.

My 185/60R14 ES100 used to scrape the front mudflaps (OEM) at full steering turn. I took out the two front mudflaps and now they are ok. Guess in monsoons I have to find thinner (albeit uglier) mudflaps for both front and rear.

175 section tyres on your stock rims . The stock rims are 4" and fitting 175s on them is totally unsafe.

175s require a minimum width of 4.5". Do take a moment to check this out.

Tire Size Calculator - tire & wheel plus sizing

@maverick236, Please do NOT fit 175s on your stock rims. If you cannot spend on alloys, do check with your tyre dealer on sourcing steel rims that are 5J. You could try to get the Hyundai Accent's or Ford ikon's rims.

Yup - do not fit 175/70R13 tires on 4J rims. It is risky.

I got my car's wheel alignment done today, as I noticed thin scrapes of rubber peeling from my right front tire outer edge (checked other 3, there were no issues). The alignment check revealed that there was a toe alignment issue, which was rectified.
The alignment sheet is posted, tire gurus please comment if all is ok.

I have a i10 magna 1.1 almost 1.5 yrs old.
After a lot of surfing in this thread i recently got the the footwear replaced.
With i20 alloys and XM1+ 14 inches.
According to the shop guy this combination worked fine.but when a car is going in some bumps sometimes Tyre gets touched and it even makes a bang sound.
I am not able to understand what the reason.
I got it checked and he says back spring have gone down a bit .
i never thought there is any such prob with car.
I will be giving car to Hyundai motor plaza on 1st.
Please advice me further action.
