I need 5 or 6 steel wheels for XUV500

Anyone who has replaced the steel wheels with alloys on thier XUV I would like to buy the steel rims. I plan on fitting "AT" tyres to the steel rims for off road and treking up to Jammu Kashmir and keep the alloys for road/town use.
I am located in Goa but will do a deal what ever the location.

Your best bet would be to leave word with all the alloy shops in your area, so if and when someone comes in wanting an upgrade, the shop can get in touch with you.

re: Mahindra XUV500 : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Put these on an XUV last night but had to step out before they were mounted, so no pics of them on the car.

For my XUV 500 i have put
pirelli
scorpion_verde
255/60R17 106V

FUNCTIONS
Lower rolling resistance ( - 20%*) and lower weight (-10%) plus low noise through the life of the tire
BENEFITS
Reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions plus - 30% of perceived noise (-1dB)

recently travelled to kannur in curve roads excellent performance & mileage is good.

re: Mahindra XUV500 : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Heres mine, had these on my XUV since 2011.Looks good even today. These are Prestige alloys and got them for 24/25K in 2011 so they might be cheaper now.

re: Mahindra XUV500 : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Here is mine, got it from http://www.alloywheelsindia.com/, this one to be specific http://www.alloywheelsindia.com/prod...82/0/h_338.htm.

Do note that the wheels are 8 J (width) and the do jut a little out of the wheel arches unlike the stock alloys.

re: Mahindra XUV500 : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Hey guys,
This is my first post ever, since my joining, so dont mind me wherever and however this lands.
Till now i was just absorbing the info from the forum which is quiet a lot helpful n educating.
Has any one ever computed to downsize their XUV 500 stock alloy rim to 15" and upsizing the tyre profile to 70-75. the cost savings work out to be amazing. Plus the butch looks of the car are enhanced too. (I personally believe smaller the rim and bulkier the tyre the looks stand apart. Specially when its an SUV)
Plus few members have already downgraded from W8 to W6 just bcos of the tyretronics. Now think of installing a Pioneer AVH 3580 DVH (Single din-withflip out 7" screen) or a Pioneer AVH 7550 BT (single din-withflip out 7" screen) on a W4 variant, in place of the digital clock, which shall cost you not more than Rs. 25000 on ebay/snapdeal. do you guys that even the W6 is worth paying for???? i mean how many of us use the rest of the functions in routine???? and if not aren't there better after market options available for the hyper-marketed options???
I truly believe in Mahindra but that is just for the build quality n not the electronics.
I personally m inclined towards buying a W4 n retrofit the rest of the relevant and necessary accessories to approach W6/W8.
Please feel free to enlighten me.
Regards to everyone on the forum,
Uday

Any feedback on Michellin Latitude-Tour-HP on stock size. How it compares with Pirelli Scorpion-Verde.

Re: XUV 500 niggles and their solutions

God willing I will be getting W8 with Bridgestone Dueler.. How is your opinion on exchanging it immediately with Michelin-Latitude/ Pirelli-Scorpion. What will be a good buyback/exchange price for Bridgestone?

Re: XUV 500 niggles and their solutions

New Dueler costs 11k per tyre, even if you drive from the showroom to the tyre shops they hardly give you 50% of the market price. I am not sure about Pirelli, but the latitudes cost a whopping 19.8k per tyre

Do you really want to buy them at that price? Dueler is not bad, only that its a little noisy and squeal at the earliest opportunity. I have been hearing news that Michelin will come up with low cost latitudes (manufactured in India or Taiwan) for the Indian market. Probably worth the wait !!!

Thanks for the advice. I will consider only if exchange price per tyre is less than 5k; mostly will stick to BS. The tyre cost is only my worry here, since I have never got more than 40k mileage on stock tyres on my previous cars.

re: Mahindra XUV500 : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Hey guys, my XUV odo is nearing 50k and i need to replace the stock bridgestones.
Thinking of nankang sp5 as they are the cheapest tires available 255/60/17. anyone tried them or know if they are good enough?
link to http://www.tyreonwheels.com/tyres/Nankang/SP-5/1221
If not which of the other options is value for money
