re: Michelin XM2 Tyres in India

I, for one, shall definitely be going for the XM2.

Michelin makes excellent tires. They are soft, pliable, quiet, good for the environment and more modern in technology. On my Alto, I have been using the XM1+ for over 30k kms and it still has around half the life more before I have to change to new tires. And when I change, I'm going to buy the XM2 for sure.

re: Michelin XM2 Tyres in India

Right now changing all 4 tyres to XM2 185/65/R14, previously had XM1+185/65/R14, have clocked 53500 kms on Ford Fiesta 1.4TDCi, very happy with Michelin tyres performance till date, have driven on all type of terrains without any issue.

Price in Pune for XM2 185/65/R14 is Rs. 4500/- per tyre including wheel alignment and balancing plus nitrogen filling.

Thanks

re: Michelin XM2 Tyres in India

Is it only 6 sizes or is Michelin planning to release more sizes later on? Any idea whether it would come in the 175/70-R13 specs?. Looking for a new set of rubbers for my esteem.

re: Michelin XM2 Tyres in India

So XM2 will replace the existing XM+ ? I am interested in 185/70 R14 for my Swift and was tilting towards Yoko A drives. What would be the price of XM2 for 185/70 R14?

re: Michelin XM2 Tyres in India

From the pics the grooves on the 185/65 R14 for these XM2s are little muted than what is seen on similar size XM1+s, could that mean the XM1+ are still slightly better in wet weather?

The entire range of XM+1 and Energy XM+1 has been replaced with XM2, as of now there is no change in prices but soon there will be an upward revision in pricing.

+1
I am also happy with the performance of XM1+ tyres on my Palio.
Have completed 30K kms, has enough tread for another 20 - 25K kms.

Will definitely upgrade to XM2.

re: Michelin XM2 Tyres in India

Got the Marina shod with 4 185/65/14 XM2 and the initial impressions are:
1. The tires are super silent.
2. Comfort level is definitely a league above.
3. The car moves nimbly and sure footed.
4. The tires dont lock under hard braking.
5. Though it says that XM2 have a shorted stopping distance, but I dont know why but I think my braking has become poorer than what it was with the continentals previously or maybe the tires need to run in a bit before the grip improves?
6. The steering has become a tad heavier.

Costed me 4650 a piece here in Chandigarh and lost another 200 for each 175/70/14 Apollo Acelleres that I had put in just a day earlier but changed in favour of the Michelins.

re: Michelin XM2 Tyres in India

Hey is the XM2 available for Innova? The standard size for the Innova is 205/65/r15 I guess. How much would this cost per tire?
