Yes, the speedometer and odo readings will get affected by any change in manufacturer's specified size of the profile. By how much is the question which you can find out by some math. In short, at 60MPH, the reading will be 60.57MPH or at 96KMPH, the reading will be 96.9. Not an error which breaks the deal and the safety it brings.

Planning to change the xm1+ that has done 78k km on my Figo TDCi. The first time in my life that a set of tyre in our cars has lasted above 40k km!

XM2 is the obvious choice but just wanted to confirm before the buy. Any suggestions. XM2, ER 60 or C-Drive? Planning to upsize to 185/70 to gain on ground clearance.

The shop near to my place has Conti Eco and the cost is 16k for 4 tyres. Not sure how good this tyre is

Hi Sateesh,
The comfort levels ave surely degraded. The last 10K km has been not that good. Road noise is still not alarming. But then, road noise on the Fords have always been higher except maybe the New Fiesta (from what i hear). The tyre has performed brilliantly. The only grudge i had is the squeaky noise on hard braking. Makes you feel the tyre is skidding but i have been in perfect control even in those situations. Rain performance too is brilliant.

3 years. My OEM appollo was completely done within 29K km.

Just changed my tires from stock Apollo to XM2. The old tires retired after 41K KM. The XM2 seem to be quieter and my avg seems to get better too. Will know exactly after a couple of tankful to tankful.

Couple of days back, i got an SMS from Michelin about my tyre purchase and also that Warranty has been started on the same .

It was a pleasant surprise to me. It was least expected by me.

However, they could also have sent an email as it is easier to keep emails for records than an SMS.

What model of Apollo did you have and what size was it? How was the usage experience. I am planning to get Apollo Amazer 4G in 185/70R14 for our Swift and your feedback on the brand's offering will be helpful.

Appollo Accelere [not sure about the spelling!] came OEM with the Figo. By 29K km one tyre got a punture close to the edge and was not completely repairable. Another one got damaged due to a punture gone unnoticed and i ran for some distance with it. The tyres were almost gone by 28k km but i wanted to use it till atleast 30k km. Unfortunately the puntures did not let me do so.

This is my personal experience. Have heard some good reviews of the same tyre so dont know what went wrong. I was doing some bad roads regularly though.

Have 155/65R13 XM1+ on WagonR. Run about 60k km over 4 years. Now showing some signs of wear and may change them in the near future to XM2. Car handling has been superb with no noise. Would recommend the width upsize to everyone.

Got XM2 stepney much later (about 25k back) which seems good as well - have used it with 3 XM1+ without issues.

The durability is surprising, since everyone was telling me that Michelins are softer and will wear out fast. The previous tube tyres of standard size 145/70R13 GoodYear and Bridgestone lasted just over and under 40k km respectively.

195/60-15 XM2 Costs around 6100 or so. Price may vary in Madras. Also, this is the normal price. Bargain hard and get a better price.

Nikhil, I own a Ford Fusion Diesel Sept 2009 old and has done 35000 Kms with two long trips from Pune, one to Uttarakhand and another to Himachal (Including Spiti). Using the stock Goodyear GT3, The tread depth is down to 03 mm, although there are no cracks on the sidewalls. The car runs approx 15 ams daily in Pune and a couple of trips on the highway, NH4 or Pune-Mumabi Expressway. Is this the time to change the wheels and if yes, which ones? I have considered
