Tires for Esteem Vxi 2006

Hey guys, i needed help regarding better tires for my 2006 Esteem Vxi which has done 2.5k kms on stock Jk Ultima XPS 175-70-R13's tubeless tires. I changed over to HR 5 spoke alloys last month which are stock size of 5.5j-13inches. Am very happy with them, no vibrations or noise at speeds of above 130kmph as well. Now to compliment them i wanted to change to better rubber. Most important objective being to improve the ride quality coz i am not soo much into that high speed performance types.

Now guys i need help. I wish to stick with stock size of 175-70-R13's. So which tires do i go in for. I have heard that the Bridgestone Grid III's are great outright performance tires, but i have no idea about its ride quality. So could you please recomend me a tire choice which would suit my need perfectly(better ride quality) especially at lower speeds in mumbai's pathetic roads. There are many brands out there in the market to choose from. Michelin, Goodyears, Yokohama, Bridgestone, Hankook etc. I am plain confused!

Cheers

Go in for the Bridgestone Potenza G3s if they are available at this size, they are very good. Excellent grip even in wet conditions, low noise and good ride quality.

Prince if you primary concern is ride quality then you should be looking to fit either Apollo Accelere's or Michelin Energy XM1's. Don't fit Bridgestone Potenza's or Goodyear Eagles's as they do have great performance and road holding but the ride suffers and they are very noisy while travelling on the highways.

I have just upsized my Esteem to 185/70/R13 with Michelin certis, awesome look and ride, but road grip no way near potenza GIII.

Aseem, are you facing any problems of the tires touching any part of the car while in motion or while turning full-lock???? Do you hear any squeking sounds from the front tires while taking a U-turn???And are you running these tires on stock rims or alloys???? Has the power-steering become a bit more heavier now??? BTW, how much did the Michelin Certis cost you????
