Thanks for this

New OEM wheels are Rs 32000 each. Momo's are around 41000. Amazing to find that options for 16" wheels areas few! . I am reluctant to go upto 17" as this will ruin the handling /ride compromise

Re: Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists - India

Need help guys!!

My brothers Pulsar 220f was not used for the past 1.5 years and was left idle at his place. Recently the bike was serviced so that it can be used further without any problems. Both the tyres were also changed as they were leaking air and i had to fill it every 4-5 days. The local tyre shop guy told that since the bike has been idle for a long time, the tyres are leaking air. So I changed both the tyres. Everything was going well for a month but from the last 2-3 weeks the rear tyre loses its pressure every 3-4 days. It goes to around 8 psi. When I asked the tyre shop guy, he told that it is due to wheel bend. I checked in multiple tyre shops and everyone told the same but neither of them can fix it nor do they know a place where this is done.

I need your help dear BHPians. Please suggest me a place in Bangalore where this can be done. I'm frustrated by filling air every alternate day

Thank you

I had got Tubeless Tyres installed for Pulsar 180 UG3 (bought in Feb 2007) in 2018-19. Even my bike was less frequently used during lockdown and also before it. But my Alloys are still the same which came with the bike.

Have you checked for any punctures at puncture shop?

If any puncture is not detected, check if the tyre is properly installed on the rim (clean the inside part of the rim that comes in contact with the Tyre before installing).
When I got the Tubeless tyres installed for first time in 2018-19, even I faced similar problem of air escaping from between tyre and rim. The puncturewala told me to leave the bike and come after one hour. He 'rectified' the problem (did not disclose the treatment done), but the problem never surfaced again. Touchwood. May be he cleaned as I mentioned above (but told me that he had applied some sealant).

I know it's a bit jugad, but how about using tubes with the rims? Or maybe slime?
If the wheel is compromised structurally already, trying to reverse the process may be worse. Why not just replace if feasible?

Thank you for your reply guys.
I have finally got it rectified today at Indian wheel alignment at kalyan nagar after a lot of search. The guy removed the bends in half an hour and now the wheels are as good as new.
I can finally enjoy riding.
