Have replaced mine with Yokohama Geolanders. Added cushion effect is brilliant.....slight compromise in high speed handling and braking which i can live with. I was expecting slight drop in performance in ghat sections owing to the one inch lift and added rubber. surprisingly it performs better than stock!

Bad roads are even more welcome now! braking on loose gravel or bad roads is way better.....amazing grip the tires have!. Would recommend every AWD to shift to this setup. only concern is front wheels (only the left wheel) rub inside the wheel well on full turn. don't know why its happening only on one side. I any ways hardly use a full turn...by practice i do not like straining the power steering pump unless its absolutely necessary.

Hi Hiran77, can you also share the alloys and tyre size specs. Is the alloy wider than the stock phase 1 & 2 alloy, if so, then that could be a cause of rubbing. It looks much brawny and suits the Duster’s otherwise masculine body style

I will have to check the alloy.....do not remember. the rubbing is mostly due to larger dia and increase in width/profile.

have run about 12000 kms and i noticed the rubbing noise has gone obviously due to tyre wear. it was very negligible in the beginning too......also the grip in rain is brilliant compared to stock. haven't tried off-roading but this does give better traction than stock in any condition. Would recommend this setup to all AWD owners

Stick with Michelin, they make the best tires.

You can experiment with

# Continental Cross Contact AT's,
# Yokohama Geolander G015

but, the Michelin LTX Force is what I would recommend as they would give the best of both worlds.

My Duster has driven around 43K kms and needs tire replacements.


My driving is on tarmac for 99% of the time, although in Bangalore that tarmac is pretty rough at times with potholes, bumps, badly designed speedbreakers and gravel/mud in a few locations. I would like a smooth cushioned ride that does not compromise (perhaps a little is fine) handling. A noisy ride would be unwelcome so that does rule out AT tires I would imagine.



Apart from the two mentioned above (with links) and the Michelin LTX are there any more tires to consider?

Check Michelin and Yokohama, there are road biased SUV tires with them.

Thanks. Thats AT. Wonder they offer highway tires in stock size for duster. Most of my driving is on highway so AT will be overkill.

Went with Michelin primacy SUV last week in stock size. Total damage was 37k. Had to wait for few days as the tires were not in stock with the dealer. Primacy SUV is rated 102H and manufactured in Sep-18. Road noise has dropped significantly. Ride is smoother given the new set of tires. Will share detailed review post 10k KMs.
