Yes, finally I went for the Bridgestones. The new shoes has led to a noticeably smoother ride and low road noise. Also the grip has definitely improved and I had to mentally remap myself for the braking. Overall I am very satisfied.

The ride is definitely more planted and road noise is there but tyres look really cool. the true performance issues if any will surface only after a little Off roading expeditions, but overall I am satisfied.

P.S The ride height has increased by 2.6% compared to OE setup.

I am thinking of 215/70/R16 tyre on my Duster 2016 110ps RXZ. I hope it increases the stance and further cushion on off-roads.
Any thoughts if these would cause any issues ?

Ground clearance is the same. The issue is in the handling. Greater sidewall means greater flexing and lesser control at high speeds during braking and evasive maneuvering. If you are not an aggressive driver, then go for it. Otherwise stick to stock. 235/60 R16 will give meatier look at the cost of mileage and pickup.

Thanks Neil. The route that I commute is normal road but has many potholes. And I may trip often to Kerala by excellent NH44.

So, now I think better to stick with stock tyre size and since its time (6 years) to change tyres, I am looking for all terrain tyre.

I find Ultra Mile 4x4 A/T BULL 215/65 R16 would be good !? Any thoughts ? And anyone has experience?

I switched to them 2 months ago, on my Duster 1.3 Turbo petrol, downsized from 17 inch to 16 inch for comfort. Here is how my ride looks now (1st pic).

Have driven approximately 500 Kms after the change. These are rugged tyres and will last for some time. If you're ok with an increase in the road noise owing to the A/T tread style, which to me look aggressive and fabulous (see 2nd pic), then you can give them a chance.

I was told noise is not very much on highways but agree with you that side treads patterns are even.

BTW, what is the PSI to keep ? 29 or 33 !? I think 35 would toss the front wheels on bumps.

As you can see within where I marked in the attached screenshot, I see that these tyres do have uneven patterns but not sure why are they noisy !?

I was riding on 17 inch Continental Cross Contact LX2's, and prior to that Apollo Apterra's (that's another story why I switched from Apterra's to Conti's).

Both those tyres were H/T, meant for Highway usage majorly. Hence my ears were trained to the absolute silence those tyres provided while driving (thankfully, the 1.3 Tce Turbo petrol engine on my Duster is pretty silent).

Hence, whatever noise these Ultra mile tyres emit are frankly, noise to my ears

Got the new shoes. Rugged, smooth, I could not feel (hear) road noise yet ��, at 33 PSI.
Ride is spongy and it felt lighter than previous MRF Wanderer.

As of now, tyres are pretty good. Will use more & update.

Hi All Diesel Duster users,

Below are the snapshots of the Renault Duster Diesel 2016 dashboard MID ;
trip is 419.8kms,
fuel consumed on trip so far shows 25.1 L,
average is 16.7 kmpl
and kms can run by above avg shows as 600kms

With above parameters, can anyone let know how much litre is one block on the fuel guage (there are 8 blocks) ? I could not do the math.

Hi All,

I've a 2018 110ps Sandstorm (215/65R16), it has completed around 47k kilometers.

Off late I started feeling slight wobble while making a full u-turn.
Went for wheel alignment and the person mentioned that instead of alignment I should go for a change itself (after another 1k km max).

Did some initial research and came across:
- Bridgestone D698 (10050/-)
- Continental LX2 (9750/-)

Then I read this thread and identified couple of more options:
- Geolandar A/T G015
- GoodYear Wrangler AT

My usage is primarily on (not so good) roads of Pune and highways, hardly any off-roading.
Can you guys point me in the right direction.

Since you’d mentioned not so good roads specifically, I’d recommend going for JK Ranger H/T or Ceat Czar sports, particularly because they offer unconditional warranty.

Check the below thread for an understanding of how tyres are replaced under UCW and how it differs from standard warranty.

I finally went ahead with Goodyear Silentrac AT. Got free wheel alignment/balancing and valves with the change.
Overall happy with the purchase till now.
