It performed very well, cuts through the water with ease, grip is also pretty good, prompt braking on wet surface too.
Is it better than Michelin XM2 in all aspects ?

A stone magnet i feel
Noticed a lot of small stones stuck inside the tyre grooves when the tyres were taken out for balancing.

Is there an offer or something? That is quite a competitive price. I am going to buy the same spec tires this weekend for my altis in Delhi.

Yesterday i visited a Yokohama outlet. They told on the purchase of 4 Yokohama Earth one they are giving a Tropicool Electric tyre inflator free which costs around 1500 - 1600 Inr. This offer is valid till 31st May 2015 all over India.

From the website:

The inflator is worth at least 1.6k as listed on several e-commerce sites like Snapdeal and such.

Re: Yokohama Earth-1 Tyres (designed for India)

It's not been officially discontinued as yet, but gradually it'll be phased out and S-Drive will take it's place.
As of now ES 100 will continue to be available till the end of this year.

After almost 75k kms on the stock MRF tyres, fitted the Yokohama Earth-1 tyres on my Swift Zdi. Cost for set of four Rs. 19600/- inclusive of replacement, balancing and alignment + Rs 560/- for the
balancing weights. Tyre Size - 185/65R15
Did a quick trip to pune after the tyre change and I am quite satisfied with the grip, braking and the noise levels and would surely recommended. Re: Yokohama Earth-1 Tyres (designed for India)

Good to see this thread !!

I was an avid user of the Yokohama A.Drives on my previous ride - The Ford Ikon 1.4 TDCi 2009 make and sold the car in 2014. Excellent ride comfort.
Pics of the previous A. Drives on my Ikon :

In 2014 I sold my Ikon and bought the Ford Figo ZXi Diesel, I wanted something which would sustain the rougher terrain without much issues (like side wall damaged & cuts etc.) so I immediately replaced the stock tyres 175/65 R14 with the Yokohama Earth 1 175/65 R14 at the time of purchasing my vehicle. Paid an Exchange difference of Rs.5,200/= for a Set of 4.

Pics of the Stock 175/65 R14 Earth 1 on my Figo :

Last week one one the tyres (Rear Right) were found to be punctured at 2 placed at the same time but that is sorted with no issues thereafter.

The 1st puncture found was a big one where two sealants had to be dug in to sort things out. I guess for this one I have to use a Rubberized Omni Patch to sort the issue for the long run. Pics :

The 2nd puncture on the same tyre :

It's been approx 9 months with more than 10,000kms on the odo that I am using the tyres with no issues at all. Have traveled on cemented/ paved highways, bad roads, village roads (with no tarmac) etc. with no damage at all. I do not feel them to be noisy and the road grip is also excellent and enhances braking at higher speed levels as well

Couldn't agree more glenmz.
I noticed it on the very first day of changing my tyres.

Gripwise I guess this is as good as my earlier A drives but found the tyres noisier. Is this a common observation?

Re: Yokohama Earth-1 Tyres (designed for India)

Looking for a new set of tyres for my i20 . Getting B290 at 4200 apiece /Yokohooma Earth 1 @ 4000 a piece for 185/65/R14
Stock Apollo Accelere lasted 44k but gave numerous punctures in last few years( 2 are running with tube, necessitated by sidewall punctures). One of the reason for the is also potholed Gurgaon roads. Looking for a sturdy tire. Any one with longterm reviews of Bridgestone B290 or Yokohoma Earth 1. Or any other recommendation looking at the kind of craters one drives on in Gurgaon.

Re: Yokohama Earth-1 Tyres (designed for India)

Bought 4 Yoko Earth-1 (185/65/R14) yesterday for my i20 . Final Cost was 4050 per tyre ( with old tyre's exchange) with new nozzles+ alignment+balancing+nitrogen. Also got the tyre compressor from tropicool free as advertised on Yokohoma's website. Tyres I got are march manufactured and made in India . Prior to this another dealer( Wheels world in Gurgaon) was giving me the same tyres at 3800 per tyre but they were from July 2014 and made in Philippines and tyre compressor offered was not the one advertised by Yokohoma , but a Good year one. Did not finalize the deal with him.
