I got the following 3 quotations on rubber:

1. Michelin XM2 185/65 R14 - Rs.4560/tyre (No further discounts even if I buy more) - comes with 3 years warranty
2. Yokohama Earth 1 - 185/65 R14 - Rs 4300/tyre - 5 years warranty.
3. 195/60 R14 is not available with Michelin but only in Yokohama S drives (if I recall correctly) around 4900/- for each wheel. Does the ride comfort goes down with this configuration?

Experts - please advice.

Well got new shoes for my Brio. Went with the 1st option - Michelin XM2 - 185 65 R14 @ Rs. 4560/tyre, and what an upgrade it is. I have started loving it. The tyres are super silent. There is a remarkable difference in the tyre noise reduction. These being my first Michelins I never thought that I would make out the difference so easily. I will post some pictures soon.

I just bought a new Brio and got JK Vectra stock tyres. I've heard that it's unreliable and this is a Feb manufactured car so I'm sceptical about the rubber quality anyway. Can someone please recommend a good upgrade? I'm unsure about an upsize to 185 section tyres as my dealer says that would end my warranty. Is that true?

I drive a 2013 Honda Brio V MT with 32K on the odo and pondering over upgrading rubber for better grip and lesser noise. Are the Michelin Energy XM2 (185 65 R14) the best choice ? are there any better options at similar price ?

For Brio, 185/65 R14 is a perfect upgrade.
In that size Michelin XM2 is the best option available.

I recently upgraded to 185/65/14 on my Brio - it is well within the safe parameters for an upgrade. Got the XM2s and the ride is super smooth - increased GC of 6-7 mm being an added bonus.

I am considering changing my Brio's tyres too. Doesn't the wider tyres touch the inner wheel wells when the steering is fully turned?

No problems whatsoever even on a full load. The difference is well with in the permissible limits and in fact, has improved the ride quality and handling quite a bit.

Finally i changed tyres on my Brio.. after reading a lot of review here decided to go ahead with Michelin XM2 185/65/R14. The ride has surely improved no doubt on that.
My previous tyres were stock Goodyear, changed it at 41K KM.
I got the tyres at Tyre Empire HSR and was charged a total of 21,300 for 4 tyres including wheel balancing and alignment.
These guys filled the tyres with Nitrogen claiming that it better than normal air. I have read reports earlier that it make no major difference. I hope it will not cause issue if I simply move to regular air. Or I have to completely deflate before filling normal air?

Upgraded my tyre to 185/60 R14 (Michelin XM2) along with 14" alloys from a brand called "Flying Eagle" (not sure of the make, however it had JWL and VIA cast marking on them).

There is visible difference in ride and handling after the changes. Also, the fuel economy has increased as well (more than the expected tyre error rate i mean).

Took the car to the Honda authorized service center guys, the folks who have been taking care of my brio since the last 5 years (the kind who drive test 50-60 hondas a day, day in day out). As per them, they felt that this was infact the best tyre upgrade for Brio.

Mine is a 2013 S MT which had 71k on the odo.

Upgraded my steed's tyres to Michelin Energy XM2 185/65 R14 last weekend (from SLNP pitstop, HRBR layout). Totally satisfied with the improvement in ride quality and reduction in tyre noise! Paid INR 5200 per tyre including wheel alignment and balancing.

Does anyone know what tyre pressure range would be safe for city driving as well as highway driving with this set of tyres? I've been maintaining the Honda recommended 26/29 PSI while using the stock tyres, but I'm not sure what the front and rear tyre pressure needs to be with this new set of tyres. I have back pain so I do not prefer over inflated tyres and would not mind a compromise on fuel economy, but there's no compromise on safety of course. Please help guys.

Sorry for a late reply! I too had upgraded to 185/65 R14 Michelin XM2s on my Brio AT. The ride quality has improved no doubt but I did notice some body roll especially while taking corners at speed.
Has anyone else using this size and type of tyres noticed this? My tyres seem to squat a bit too much and there is a noticeable bulge of the tyre wall as compared to the OEM tyres.
I think it’s probably got to do wirh the fact that Brio OEM alloy rims have smaller width (probably 5J)

I too have replaced the stock JK Tyres with Michelin Earth XM2 185/65 R14 couple of months back? I havent noticed any body roll though. I am maintaining 29 PSI (Front) and 26 PSI (Rear), but the tyres have quite a "thump" feedback when it does over potholes. What tyre pressure is recommended here?
