Do these larger tyres cause any damage to the suspension? And when under full load, is there any chance of the tyres touching the body?

Would love to know your thoughts on this. Thanks!
The tyres have never touched the body, even with 4 adults and full luggage.

About the suspension damage, I can’t say for sure.
After driving a Creta and the way it soaks up bumps in the road, coming back to the City, it felt a lot more stiff and not so comfy over bumps. The same was observed by another family member too.
So, just out of curiosity, I got my car checked at the Honda service centre that I trust will not try to dupe me unnecessarily.
My car has run 53K now, and by change just today I’ve got some suspension bushings changed. The mechanic took a test drive and informed me about a few cracks in some bushings. Although he said that there’s no immediate need to change them, I still went ahead and got the new ones installed. I have not driven the car as it’s still at the dealership.

Re: 4th gen. Honda City : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Hi everyone,

I have a 2019 Honda city SV that comes with 15 inch company alloys and Bridgestone B250 175/65/17 tyres. Although the car already comes with stiff suspension, I've been looking forward to upsizing to some 17 inch wheels (Lenso Jager's) to experience how that feels.

Coming to tyre options after research and contacting local tyre dealers around Bangalore, I'm left with 2 options across 3 different sizes.

Continental UC6 in either 205/45 | 205/50 | 215/45
Primacy 4ST in 215/45

If anyone's run either of these sizes on these tyres please do share your experience. Trying to focus more on whatever comfort I can save while running a 17 inch setup.

The car sees a mix of city + mostly highway driving as we have a Baleno with 15 inch wheels for city run about as well.

Not too worried about drop in acceleration as the car is already running a Stage 1 remap and might be upgraded to a stage 2 as well.

Re: 4th gen. Honda City : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

It’s time to get my 2015 VX CVT some new shoes rocking the original size of 175. We do about 9-10k of city run every year. And 3-4k highways. What I want from the new sets?

1. No drastic loss of mileage
2. Quiet road performance
3. Good puncture resistance. Moved to an area with poorer road condition.

Would you all recommend I stick to same 175s or move to the threads favourite 195s?

Since most of your run is in the city stick with the 175 and go for conti UC 6. They provide a good ride, low on road noise and no compromose in the efficiency. I had them installed around 6 months ago and i absolutely love them.

Re: 4th gen. Honda City : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

I am planning to change my tyres as the Michelin's have becoming little hard. The tyre sets have run 40k Kms. I am confused between

1. the UC6 and
2. Vredestein Ultrac.

In my city Ultrac has a slight premium over UC6. Which one will be better in terms of noise and handling ?

Re: 4th gen. Honda City : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread

Hi folks, looking to upgrade all my tires on my 36k run City 2017 from the stock MRF ZVTV. However, I am on a budget since I may sell off the car in a year or so. Which one would you pick, in the 5-5.5k range:

1. JK UX Royale - ~4.5k per tyre
2. MRF ZLX - ~5.5k per tyre
3. Ceat Milaze X3 - ~5.4k per tyre
4. Goodyear Assurance TripleMax 2

I am leaning towards ZLX fitted from the MRF store. However, there are great deals on the JK UX on Flipkart (under 17k for all 4 tyres) - but I have never bought tyres online and registered for warranty etc.
