New Tires from Michelin

Hello everyone,
Checkout the radical new tire design by Michelin. The next generation of tires.

The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these tires.

This is what great R&D will do, and just think of the impact on existing technology:

a... no more air valves
a... no more air compressors at gas stations
a... no more repair kits

It is aewsom, Please check the links below. Let me know if you are not able to view them.

These are actual pictures taken in the South Carolina plant of Michelin. It will be awhile before they are available to the automotive industry.

I am unsure what other imported alloy brands are sold in India so if you know please provide a web link. Same for tyres, if you know of an India specific link then please provide the URL.

Might be worth turning this into a sticky if we can get enough web sites.

good information ... thanks.

They're called Tweels. And you're right in that they're gonna take some time to be commercially avialable. Between 4-6 years to be affordable as well.
But tweels wont succeed in developing countries as their construction does not allow them to soak up road disturbances the way current day air-filled tyres can

Thanks for bringing up HR. I dont believe any of us really know where the "HR" wheels sold in India are really manufactured. I've simply beenn unable to find a website which matches the HR logo on the wheels sold in India. Googling also does not turn up any suitable results.

Hijoin Taiwan

HR Racing Wheels Australia

I get a feeling that the 'HR" wheels sold in India might be some spurious brand from Taiwan - but people have grown confortable with them since dealers like Hot Tracks in Bangalore have a high visibility.

Dish, are you sure this is HR rims website? I dont see them mention anything about HR racing anywhere.

IF it is then I like the H-125 model under product category.

Can someone tell me where I can find the HR racing rims in Bangalore or Chennai.
