I have an Indica V2 DLS bought in July 2004. The car is fitted with its original tyres. As of today the car has completed 29000 Kms. The car runs for 70 kms daily (Andheri to Turbhe) . Very soon i will be required to change my tyres.

I need help in finding out as to what will be the correct upsize for the existing tyres and which brand of tyres will suit the same. If i get a chance I drive at 90-100 kms.

Please send in your replies.

Thanks.

You can go with 185/60 Potenza.
I have been running them for 30,000kms and they look almost as good as new. Amazing tyres with amazing grip and performance.

Thanks for the reply. but don't u think that this will be too huge for the car fitted with OE. If i upsize my tyres, do i also need to change the rims of the wheels??
I may be sound stupid but i am completely unaware of all these facts.
Please reply.
Thanks.

No it isnt
If you calculate the diameter 185/60 and 165/65 have similar diameter,
I am on original rims, and after the upgrade I have had fewer rim bend incidents than I had on the original ZVTS.
So you can go for Potenza GIII 185/60. Only problem is that if your orignal rims are in bad shape then to put in "any" tubeless tyres you will need new rims, which is more of a one time investment.

Thats right but the rim size required depends upon the width of the tyre

Currently i have GPS2 tyres fitted on my original rims. Are these tyres zero radial tyres??

Is the 185/60 zero radial tyre??

Thanks.
