Whoa ,man!
Who is that dealer?? Can u call him and ask if he'll take another set of 4 baleno tires?
In chennai, 1500 bucks for 165/80/13 stock bridgestones is a SWeEEEEEEET deal.

Steel Rims (Swift - 100 PCD)
14" Rims (4 nos) 2,800 (estimate).
He said Rs.200 per rim. Which is 800 in total.
Anyways, Im kinda leaning over the 21,000 rupee package.

Yeah Nitrous... Rs.21,000 package is quite tempting. I was looking at alloys only from tubeless perspective.

Final decision (for the moment).

1. Go with Swift Rims and Tubeless (Rs.9000 max).

I will check with Maruti Service Centre once again to make sure about PCD, Rim Width to take 185/65, Lug Dia, Fitment etc.

If the steel rims and alloys do not feel comfortable, I can always sell them off and buy alloys. The damage to my purse will be only cost of Swift Rims.

KpZen... I don't think I will get the price you got. At the most I will be able to get Rs.1500 per tyre plus Rim Rs.200.

dude, you got the best deal in town. dont harp around too loud, unless you want the dealer to come in & say that he made a mistake.

@ Subbu & Nitrous : did you guys check out BM Lal on whites Road & XL Tyre Centre in T Nagar & Anna Nagar ? I got a good deal from these 2 guys.

hi all
which is the best 185/65/R14 tyres around in mumbai and where to buy them in milan subway? i zeroed in on yokohama avid trz or avid h4s as best after going through reviews ( main criteria is least tyre noise and grip and price)
should i go for aura 14 or neo 14? any new local brands come up with good reputation? i wanted warranty and option to buy one alloy later if required since planning to keep 165/80R13 as spare to make space in boot as any thing wider than 185 will not fit into my car boot due to lpg kit installed.
all my four tyres are out of shape after returning from murud trip through pen's dirty road.
please suggest soon, have to buy immediately

Also have a look at Michelin Energy XM1's I'm running them in the same size & have been quite happy.

buddies, i did a extreme tyre change. put stock tyres and rim of swift into baleno for increasing height. i know its insane but wanted to tyr it out. one guy was replacing his swift almost new tires for a alloy set, he was being paid 2k for his stock set, i took it from him to experiment. it dosent foul with the wheel wells as i have blocks installed in suspension to increase height when i had 185/70/R13. i think i will have to limit my speed to 100kmph to prevent brake failure due to this size.(why not upgrade the brakes?)

Its the wrong upsize(or is it downsize?).

Can I Upgrade?

Hello BHPn’s nice to C the discussions of alloys n wheels, let me introduce my self I’m Naveen from Bangalore, quite recently acquired a Baleno LXi. It’s been 2day I’ve been a BHPn.
I need some help on alloys.
I had been to JC road last week to look out for alloys with a lil bit of groundwork done on league alloys, had short listed few mags already.
The League LG175 goes well wid the Baleno.
The alloy guy was happy to give me 14” rims, but when I went to the tyre guy across the street he said Y don’t U go for 15”. LG175 15” rims comes only in 6.5 (width) so can I fit this on to my car without any modifications?
The options that I have are
1.LG175 14X6 with 195/60 R14
2.LG175 15X6.5 with 195/55 R15[/FONT]
Well the tyres would be Michelin (First Preference) or Goodyear
Thanks,
Naveen

please let me know if we can install 165/80/R14 on 14x6j or 14x5.5j alloys?
i have these tubeless on steel rims , want to buy alloys which can after few months take 185/65/R14 or 195/60/R14.
due budget constrains i am forced to upgrade one by one alloy then later on tires..
