Will have to depend on Rahul for that, he can personally go and check it out. Michelin is available with Latitude Tour HP's, no other option. Really mixed reviews about Pirelli, no option with Continentals.

I was apprehensive post reading your views. But then, you have lots of options 265 section tires, unlike me :(

How have your tires held up? Would you go for the same tires again or look for a change this time around?

I hate very few things, punctures is just one thing I absolutely abhor.

No 2016 manufactured Scorpion ATR's available. This is the update I got.

I am ruling out Maxxis as the tire gurus on forum are asking to avoid them.

This brings me to Goodyear Wrangler AT/SA tire. Mentioned on this post as well.

Will update

Re: All-Terrain Tyres for the new-gen Mahindra Scorpio?

Supply of Scorpions here in Gurgaon is normal. I would suggest you to wait, I guess your H/T tyres still have a lot of life left in them.

The Scorpion are almost as good as Cross Contact, we have been using both back to back for a long time, none of them suffer from Puncture issues, the Jungle trails here are full of thorns both have survived well.

Can any of the guys ship it? I am ready to pay for courier charges. I paid Rs. 800 for Michelin tires being sent from Bombay for my 250R.

Well, you have 3 options. Two are listed by you, third is the Goodyear option, just above this post.

If you are getting a recently manufactured scorpion ATR, then you may go ahead with it.

I personally would be going for the Bravo 771's. Whenever I do. I too am trying to exhuast these as I know, I won't get a penny out of these tires.

Re: All-Terrain Tyres for the new-gen Mahindra Scorpio?

Scorpio [especially] 4WD drivers and XUV AWD drivers, rejoice. Michelin has come up with an AT tire in this size.

Don't have any user experience but coming from Michelin, it ought to be good.

Re: All-Terrain Tyres for the new-gen Mahindra Scorpio?

In these kind of slush/mud, wheel slippage doesn't even register, you don't realize and in the Bridgestone, that wheel would have been spinning hopelessly and just might have required the 4H engagement.

Have done close to 20,000 kms and enjoyed every moment. Tires still look and feel as good as new.

A test for HT vs AT vs M tyres:

A test for HT vs AT vs M tyres:

key points:
HT tyres are better unless you are going off-road.
pick-up, braking, noise, FE are better in HT, whether dry or wet.

AT tyres get more stressed on Highways
the test vehicle when AT tyres in wet conditions, initially under-steered and then over-steered.

MT : stay away unless you are actually off-roading.

FE difference if present is negligible enough to not register.

I find much more confidence in any road condition in these AT's in comparison to the HT's it came with. Plus, in the seat of the pants feel, I very honestly can say, that wet grip is better. Aquaplaning resistance is better is one of the reason as well. The HT's felt skittish all along.

It is on those GQ roads or the new elevated highways where a HT will have an advantage, rest AT's win.

I don't think I am ever going back to a Highway Tire.

Quick comparison of the pics of these GY A/T;s and the Yoko G015 A/T shows these to have a more rugged pattern.

I urgently need to change two tyres minimum .. So thinking - HT or AT. The point about the understeer + large over-steer on turns as said in that test report I shared is what I am looking at.

What did you end up picking? In a similar frame of mind as I need to replace all 4 tires. Wondering if I should pick the AT or stick with HT.

Yoko Geolandar G015 AT. If SUV, take AT. The difference is not much - the AT tyres are not too noisier than the HT. And our roads are not great
