Hi ,
you guys mean to say that 195/60-14 is a ideal upsize for the OHC Vtec
because wil it affect the acceleration or FE of the car?
will it have greater advantages...like better handling.
let us forget about speedo error .... what else could be affected

I need to upgrade my esteem's tyre size. Please recommend me the tyres and the sizes that I can use. Is GIII 195/60 R13 a direct fit for esteem or do we need to modify for fitting the same.

Pls mention if u are upgrading to alloys or not....

U'll need 6jx13 alloys for 195/60-13 tyres....

I would suggest 185 tyres max for esteem...N if u very specific about getting GIIIs then go for 185/70-13....

PS: Do u know SupremeBaleno??? U both share the same avtar....

175/70/R13 is the ideal size for the esteem. if you want an upgrade, change your rims to 14" & get 185/60/R14. You should be ok.

I am currently only upgrading the tyres and not the rim. I will use the current rims only and change the rims probably in a month to alloy wheels. I checked the bridgestone site and in their tyre selector for Esteem AX they have the following models 195/60R13 84H205/60R13 87H185/60R14 82H195/60R14 86HIt does not talk about 185/70 13 for Esteem AX. Can I still go ahead and buy the 185/70R13 86H tyre for Esteem. Your help would be really appreciated.

kailash,
the 175/70 is the best fit for the esteem on all counts on a 13 inch rim. 185/70 is too fat (i dont mean wide), but the profile is too much & will make it look terrible, trust me, you will not like it.

i am not really certain there is a size like that 185/70/13.

Thanks for your advice esteem lover. I have purchased Michelin XM1 175/70 tyres. They are good and all the issues with tyre wobbling is gone.

Thanks man, Michelin are sure grippy and they are also fun to drive. Silent is not the word for them, I was drivind at the speed of 120 and there was no noise from the tyres.

Man I am in love with these tyres. Great decision I feel but only with all your help I could do that.
