Hi guys.
After lot of posts and lot of thinking I got my rims and tyres last Wednesday. It had to be planned right. Ajmat was busy in his office. I wanted to change all the tyres together. Which means fitting new tyres/rims in my car and fitting my OE tyres set in Ajmat's car. Somehow, things worked out ok. I'm grateful to Ajmat for helping me to find out the test report for the tyre I liked... Bridgestone Potenza RE711.
I was thinking of Goodyear Eagle F1. Especially after seeing rtech's and N_C car. I did get some noise from N_C's car which could be because of bearings. Back in Bangalore I checked another car with F1 (two months old). Which was howling at 60kmph.
Now, my requirment is pretty simple. I like to roll up my windows and listen to crisp jazz without any disturbance. Tyre noise (if any) will surely get inside the cabin, no matter what insulation I have.
'Hot Tracks' the most well stocked shop in Bangalore told me about Potenza RE711. The shop owner also told me that for any reason I don't like the tyres, he'll take it back. His Mondeo, is also fitted with the same tyre. I took a short spin without window rolled up and felt positive. Odered the tyres and rim, came back to office and spoke to Ajmat. Here's the test report.

Rim is HR 16 spoke. After looking at lot of choices, I came back to this. I feel well packed 16 spoke is giving the car a little more body. This car also has lots of chrome here and there. Well, I relied on my 24 years of design experience.

Hey salil_kulkarni,
my car goes out everyday.
But when you have black as a paint...you better take care.
Wait till you see my 45 years old Amby.

Neat package there Rudra.

Our discussions here on TB over your Optra wheels really have netted some results. Can't help noticing as to how similar your wheels are to the new C-class, except that yours has more spokes. Lol, working with the C seems to have inspired you.... right, Rudra Sir?

@Rudra Sen
Man u r car is really shinning...i have a black car too but i dont think it shines this much unless i have just gotten it polished... i do the polishing every 6 months atleast and am pretty damn careful with it... what polish or liquid,etc do u use to maintain the shine?
