I ordered 185/60 R15 Yokohama BluEarth AE50 tyres from Amazon on 29th June and got it today (6th July), each costing Rs. 4000. All the tyres were Made in Japan and find 3 tyres marked as YYY0619 and one as YYY0519. So I guess these are made in 4th & 5th weeks of 2019. I have not received any nozzles or Tyre Gift Pack as stated by one of the reviewers in Amazon India. May be some of the sellers gives this. Now I have to do the fitting, Wheel balancing & Alignment outside.

Before purchasing I checked with local sellers with one offering 3+1 free offer. With fitting, Balancing & Alignment, I was informed it would cost overall around 18300 to 18500, with tyres alone costing about 17100. So, I may not have saved much by ordering Tyres Online. But the adamant Tyre sellers not reducing a single penny pushed me to go for online purchase. Having ordered with Amazon Pay card may give additional cash back of 5%. Just for your information, I ordered these tyres from the seller 'Online Tyre Trade' [at the time of typing this), who now quotes the same tyre at Rs 4400. 'Cloudtail India' at Rs 4362 (it was Rs 4150, when I ordered)] and the tyre was shipped from Surat to Chennai, by the seller.

I hadn't heard of these Bluearth tyres till last week when a friend called up asking if they are good. He wanted to replace the due-for-change Michelins on his Fiesta (195/60/R15 88V). Looked up tbhp and given the overall good feedback asked him to get them.

He got 4 of these @ Rs5200 a piece from Ramesh Tyres, Velachery (Chennai) - the price including new mouth/nozzle, balancing, alignment & nitrogen filling.

He was happy with how the Michelins fared (done 60K kms) & would have gone for them again, but they cost atleast 1K more per tyre.

That's an ultra fantastic price. What's the manufacturing month & year? I got Feb 2019 for Rs 5749 a piece from Amazon while it was brutally retailing for Rs 6800 per tire with Yokohama dealers.

It is listed at Rs.5640 on Amazon for last few days.

Planning to buy it on 15th/16th with HDFC 10% discount. So, the final price will be Rs.5085.

The catch is, they don't allow more than 2 pcs in one order and maximum discount with HDFC card will be Rs.1750.

So, I am planning to ask a friend to buy 2 tyres from his account and his HDFC card.

Bought 4 Yokohama BluEarth AE-50 tyres in 185/70/R14 size from the Yokohama tyre dealer near me.

Costed me 4450/tyre including Balancing and Alignment. So total damage is Rs.17800

All four tyres are made in Japan, manufactured in the 5th week of 2019.

Initial impressions as with any new tyre is positive considering I'm coming from five year old hard Bridgestones.

Let's see how these perform in the long run.

If you noticed I used an Upsized tyre, width was 225

I sold the Ecosport about a year back after using the tyres for about 20,000kms or so. They performed very well. Confort was the highlight more than performance. Sound was normal and FE too was good.

I give them a thumbs up.

I've been recommended BlueEarth AE50 (size: 195/60R15) for my Etios. A nearby dealer is offering them for 5K each, including fitting, balancing and alignment.
Was keen on the MRF Perfinza, but surprisingly can't find it with dealers near my (sobo) residence.

Question: Can anyone share the sidewall and tread ply composition for BlueEarth? Searched around a lot on forum and net, but can't seem find it.

Tyres doing fine . No issues with soft sidewall and the braking of the car has improved.

Thanks for checking! I did manage to get UTQG rating for Bluearth AE50: Treadwear 300 | Temperature A | Traction A. (Source: tirerack.com - an american tire sales site. Hopefully it's the same spec in India too). The treadwear rating implies a soft tread, which is what I'm looking for, with my low mileage.

As a "geek" who loves to obsess over detail, I hate it when manufacturers don't make basic information available on their sites / brochures / product packaging. In fact, Yoko's site has a page dedicated to explaining what UTQG is but not the actual UTQG of their products (or if they do, it's tucked away somewhere.)

I'll be visiting a tire dealer on Saturday, will try and find out from them!

Me and my colegue installed Yoko Bluearth AE-50's on our honda cars.I went with up sizing to 195/60R15 and he stuck to default 175/65R15.

His both front tyres blew because of sidewall damage despite keeping recommended pressure of 32 PSI.

I dont see such damage on my tyres as of now even after driving on some serious bad roads.

But this proves that these tyres are not for our bad roads.
