Gobind tyres on SV road is the official western region importer of maxxis so he would be able to give you the best deal.

Forget the dealer!! The size (205/60/R14) you are looking at is a dangerous upsize!

This was a question i wanted to ask, Maxxis does seem as a good option as the posted test results by Arush do indicate that they are quite competitive, Maxxis have been around for sometime and are new to the Indian market only and thats why most think that the company is fairly new. Sometimes cheaper options turn out to be at par, if not better with expensive ones.

Hey Guys,
Does anybody have the number of the Maxxis distributor in Delhi. I remember seeing their phone number in an old issue of Autocar but cannot locate it.

Thanks!

A very late reply but nevertheless.

Cheapest price I got from my MAXXIS was from Direk Impex (spellings?) near Moti Nagar.

Allen was using Maxxil Mudzilla tyres on his Jeep yesterday at a short OTR. I gotta admit, they performed pretty well (especially in a mud section).

Anyone using them here in 195/60/14 size? I have used their Off-Raod tyres in 235/75/15 and am happy with their VFM proposition.

If the VFM part happens in car tyre size also, I might be tempted to go for them in my Palio.

PS: It's the Maxxis MA V1 model. right?

It's Maxxis MA-Z1

I am using 195/50/15 on my OHC and they are absolute VFM! Grippy, a wee bit noisy and great to look at.

I might be the odd one out, But I am running my Civic on Maxxis MA-Z1 225/45R17 and dont know why These tires dont hold under hard braking. They lock up quite early, and sometimes I can feel my ABS kicking in at the speeds of around 50-60 Km/Hr.

Our Tire Guru Ishan, drove my car sometimes back and even he experienced the same issue. I am just waiting for them to loose some more life and will change over to either Yoko S-Drive or Michelin PS2s.
