Depends on what profile you intend to run. Uptil 50's are managable anything lower is asking for trouble. Also if you do highway runs regularly then nothing less than 55-60 is recommended, considering the state of our highways.

Hi,

I have 195/60/15 Goodyear F1 Eagle on my Swift Vxi. The tyre pressure recommended by the installer is 28psi. Is this ok or should i increase/decrease?

28 psi is ok. No need to increase or decrease.

I'm looking for nice 16 inch alloys for my Swift. I want 205 width tyres.. which profile would be best with that? 55? or 50?

Also, what should the width of the alloy be? (the whole J thing confuses me)

Hi,

You can go in for 205/55/R16 OR 205/50/R16. Both profiles are fine but you will have to compromise on ride quality if you choose the 50 profile. The lower the profile - the harsher the ride quality.

Your rim size can be anywhere between 5.5 X 16" upto 7 X 16"

The OEM tyres of the Swift have a 'JJ' tyre bead profile but 'J' profiles are fine too.

Most importantly - make sure your rims have the following specifications: -

PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) - 100
Offset (ET) - Preferably greater than 42

215/50-16 would be the correct size in 16"...

But if u want in 205 then go for
205/50-16

Alloy size should be minimum 6J....6.5 J would be perfect

Thanks a ton guys. I think 215's might clash with the wheel arches, so thats why I wanted 205's. I hope 16 inchers dont rattle my teeth too much.
