| ![]() This post is not related to fuel per se, but the free air provided at the Shell bunk on Hosa Road (Central Jail road). A few car owners living in the vicinity have expressed concern about the equipment used at this fuel station. All of them say that their car tyres lost air overnight after topping up. An XUV owner even ended up replacing his TPMS sensor on one of his wheels. My analysis: the filling nozzle is damaging the valve on the wheel. PS: I avoid the equipment at fuel stations, because I have seen drastic variations in pressure among fuel stations, and one can never be sure of their maintenance. |

Yes, there is all the possibility that the nozzle can damage the valve on the tyre. I have experienced this with a certain imported tyre filling nozzle which was damaging VW car valves. Upon analysis and consultation with the nozzle company, the part was changed to a different version and now this issue is solved. Problematic connector was similar to this. Also called as single clip-on ![]() The new version which was implemented, also called as Euro style clip-on ![]() Last edited by unk9ja : 26th June 2019 at 16:29.

Also, their gauge used to show around 2psi more than the actual pressure.
