tyre pressures for the drag

what would be the ideal pressure for the speed run ??
30psi s recomended would 30 be best or should there be a little less giving a little more grip

if ur tyre size is 195/55 r/15 ... which is the standard on a corolla then u should go in for 28 psi ......

yeh sry 195/60 r/15 ....
but then 2 i think 28 psi , should give be ideal for the drag ....

naah .... i have my exam on that very day from 8am - 12:30 pm and i geuss the drag timings are from 7:30 - 2-3 i geuss .....
will b cumin on the 18th just to have a look , but no point u c ....

I guess filling in 3-5 psi more is ok considering an under-inflated tire can slow you down. Slight over-inflation reduces contact area so any unnecessary traction is reduced at least to some extent.

true i was thinking of the same thing but wont over inflating it spoil his launch.that will make him lose tractiion while launching.

Well, my 2cents, tyre pressure is dependent on how much power your car is generating, launch technique, ambient temperature while fillup and during the drag day and ofcos the profile and make of the tyre. If you could furnish these details I should be able to recommend the ~ ideal tyre pressure...

i think the temp should be around 28 celcus
i am planing to minimize wheelspin so i ll TAKE OFF at bout 2500 rpm
should be about 135 145 hp at the crank
205 60 r 15
michlines and the tread i dont know how to describe its not the v tread
