When I last spoke to the local dealer, he claimed that the OE size (225/55 R18) is not available and suggested to upsize. I will ping Hemant to check about the availability of OE sized tires. Thank you!

Re: Apollo Tyres to manufacture high-performance Vredestein tyres in India

Hi all,

I was able to procure the tyres from Tyremarket.com last month. I was pretty surprised to see that they could deliver the tyres within 7 days which the company itself couldn’t do over the past 3 months.

Coming to the tyres, I am seeing a night and day difference compared to the OE Nexens. I don’t know why I waited so long to make this move

Re: Apollo Tyres to manufacture high-performance Vredestein tyres in India

Thanks to this thread, I went with ultrac for my Baleno petrol replacing 47 K KM run apollo alnac 4g. The ride is quite cushiony and silent than the previous tyres. Looks like the tyres are of soft compound.

It was a tough pick between Yokohama, Continental and Vredestein.

I paid Rs.8200/- for each tyre (195-55-R16) here in Hyderabad which is feel is slightly on the higher side compared to other cities.

Re: Apollo Tyres to manufacture high-performance Vredestein tyres in India

Folks I am in the market for new tyres for my Kizashi the only performance options available in the 215/55 R17 size are Vredestein's Ultrac Vorti and MRF's Perfinza. I like the way the Vredesteins look and would like to try them out but they are mentioned as being 215/55 ZR17 now does that Z mean that they are run flats? Because that's something I don't need or want.

No, Z is the tyre speed rating:

Re: Apollo Tyres to manufacture high-performance Vredestein tyres in India

I recently put Verdestein Ultrac Vortis on my Hyundai Verna (205/55/R16)
I had yoko earth 1’s and compared to those tyres specifically the ultrac vortis are superior in my opinion.
The first difference would be the comfort. The ride feels smoother on bad roads and on bumps.
The grip of the tyres, both wet and dry seem better.
I am still yet to test the durability of these tyres. Time will tell for that point.
I have had an issue of wheelspin which I found strange given that the tyres are brand new which I didn’t face with the yokos but other than that they were a good buy.
I feel the wheel spin could also be because I remapped my car to stage 1+ after the tyres were changed while I drove the yokos while the car was stock.

Here is your answer.
https://www.justtyres.co.uk/tyre-tip...ing-on-a-tyre#
Basically it is the speed and stress rating.Nothing to do with run flat and all. Im using Michelin PS4 ZR rated tyres on the Cooper and these are tubeless. And we are using MRF Perfinza on my Dads car and they are excellent too. It is worth trying Vredestein- they are a Dutch brand with a good reputation for
Performance tyres.

Have a look at the post below. I noticed the tread pattern is exactly the same on the Pinza AT and Apterra AT2. Haven't found any info regarding differences in compound between both tires. Don't think the premium is justified in this case if they're essentially the same tire! Also, I'd assume it'll perform very similar to the Apterra AT2 in most conditions.

The difference between GoodYear Assurance and Vredestein is huge. Vredestein is so soft & smooth and there was no noise (I can hear only diesel clatter from the engine), I really enjoyed the ride back home.

Need to wait for atleast 2K to 8K KMS to give a proper review. I hope the experience will be good (Based on initial impressions)

Thanks,

Hey man, how's your experience with Ultrac been so far? Ultrac brings in 84V 185/60 tyres which I want to use instead of the noisy GY Assurance triple max 2 on my City

I am really satisfied with the purchase. We were using the same GY Assurance TripleMax tyres on our Elite i20 earlier. And the difference is really good. I was initially skeptic about the sidewall strength of the Vredestein tyres but I was wrong and I learnt this from my personal experience.

While doing a highway trip we suddenly encountered a huge pothole and I was unable to brake because a biker with 3 of his family members (A kid on petrol tank, biker, his wife and his 2nd kid on her lap) was closely tailgating us. If I applied brake then they would definitely crash on to us. Hence we hit the pothole with a loud bang. I initially feared about the side wall cut or complete tyre damage but miraculously nothing happened.

After few months while doing wheel alignment and balancing we checked the tyres completely and found they were in good shape. Now I recommend this tyre to all my friends.

I see the mileage has gone down a bit in city but it could be due to traffic and fuel also. You can definitely go for Vredestein if you like.

Thanks,
TK
