why MRF are costlier than Bridgestone ?

hi guys, i was searching for the tyres recently for my OHC, and i came to know these prices in hyderabad for the 175/70/13 size tyre.

MRF Zvts- 2900
Bridgestone ER 60 Turanza-2740
Bridgestone S322 -2700

so i wonder why is MRF costlier than Bridgestone .i also wanted to know about the apollo tyres and jk tyres, how good are they and how much they cost?

MRF ZVTS is that size is definitely not 2900. Atleast 600 bucks lesser.
Infact, Michelins cost less than 2900.
Some dealer is trying to rip u off! Beware!

It is quite common practice among dealers to over-price a brand they do not want to sell. By quoting MRF higher, they are indirectly pushing teh customer to looking at some other brand which is where they get higher commissions or have stronger business relationships. I too have seen this pricing practice in Mumbai region also.

i recently changed my ford ikons stock mrf zvts with michelin xm1 175/70/r13 . The michelins cost me 2550 with bill and warranty. michelins are soft compound compared to mrf zvts which are hard compound, so the noise levels will be less in michelins. well just drove around 600 kms with the new tyres so cannot say much about the michelins. Regarding the pricing the dealers definitely misqoute one brand to push up another brand, it is a common practice almost every where so it is better to check out at other dealers before buying any brand.
