Wrangler AT/R

Hi all,
Went Tire hunting for my CJ3B and liked the build of Wrangler AT/R
(Wrangler AT/R )

Saw Michelin and Geolander but this looked an allrounder at a price
of 26 k for set of 5. I saw BFG but I couldnt get it in 255 so thats
out of question.

Any review on the quality of Wrangler AT/R and the price deal will be
appreciated.

Cheers!

Hey, I use the Michelin A/T's on my CJ and find them way superior to the Goodyears on friends 4x4s. I got my Michelins at 4xxx two years back so the price differential will not be so much. Also, why 255s on a CJ? It will be overkill.

Would like to see pics of your Jeep.

Hi GTO,
Thanks for the reply. We are currently building the Jeep, will post a detailed write once its done. I have 540's axle with a Bolero engine on the Jeep so 255 shouldn't be a problem.

IN Chennai, the Michelin ATs come to around 6k per tyre...But if you say its good then I can check it out...I saw both Mich and Wrangler and felt the Wrangler ATR (not ATS) thread was good. You can see it at:
Light Truck

Let me know your thoughts

Cheers!

For the Boleros 70 odd diesel horses, 255 will be overkill. May look cool but will make the Jeep slower!IMHO, 225 is the maximum you should go for.

All the best with the build. Its a darn exciting process; make sure you photograph each stage. Makes for a nice album.

Excellent in the wet also! My previous rubber was JK, so the Michelins have changed the Jeep dynamics entirely.

Thanks GTO....guive me some gyan on the Music System...even I wa thinking of it but everyone seems to be against the idea and as its an easy target. I was thinking will fabricate something like the Sound Bar sold for Wrnagler and will go wiht a Sony amp connected to my iPod so that i can keep the amp secluded and not visible.

But th speakers are always an easy target isnt it.
