Tyre & Alloy Upgrades for a Cielo

Hi There,

Need some suggestions from you people out there! Just bought a well-maintained Cielo-GLE. Thinking of getting the tyres upgraded to tubeless with alloy wheels.

Have been visiting all the websites (Auro, Apollo, Bridgestone, Neo, League... ) but ended up all confused!!! Would be helpful if any of you help me with your valuable suggestions.

Thanking in anticipation!

Cheers,
Si1ver0ne

Before you laugh at a Cielo, I suggest you drive a well maintained Cielo. I know it's a rare species these days with Daewoo having shut down 5 years ago but if you do then you would know that it blows most sedans into weeds including Lancers, Accents, OHCs and NHCs ( except VTECs ). And yes, Baleno can beat Cielo. Also it has the reasping exhaust note which no other Indian car has. IMO, if you want to do a muscle car a la Americans, Cielo, which you can pick up dirt cheap will provide a perfect canvass for modifications. Shiploads of Cielo Parts are still available even in Chennai.

Here's an actual suggestion -
Get 185/60R14 tyres on alloys. The nexia came with 185/65R14 and that could be an option too if you are looking for higher GC.
You could get Michelin Energy XM1s if you are looking for comfort. They're expensive but worth every rupee.
then if you are looking for performance, you could get Potenza GIIIs.
Personally, i would reccommend Yokohamas. Either the ES100 or AVS350 They're VFM, comfortable and have good grip as well.
