i would be interested to know if i can fit a 17" wheel to the inova and if i can fit what tyres should i go for wil it be good gor highway use.

17" wheels are possible on the Innova.. I have seen a Black innova in Bangalore with 17" spinners. Looks good but he was running 40 profile tires, and that is not good for highway use. lowprofile tires especially 40 profile means that you will feel every pebble that you drive over and god only help you on Ghat sections.

thnk you for your reply i cam to know from a friend of mine in chennai we can fit a 55 profile 17 inch tyre to an inova is it really possible to do so

If you have stock alloys than get 225/60-15.

You can also upgrade to 235's. Here are the recommended sizes:

235/50-16
235/45-17

But make sure the tyres do not scrape witnh 235 section tyres especially at the rear.

However, my recommendation would be 225/55-16 if you want to use the car on the highway. The ride won't be too bad & the sidewall would not be too thin so as to have frequent cuts.

all three are good brands. i have plati installed on my innova.
