Nope... 215/55 are perfectly usable but FE might go down.

I hope to get delivery of my Cedia Spirit by end of this week.
I want to change the stock tyres.
Upgrade (considering buyback of existing tyres) to
Michelin Pilot Preceda 2 - 205/60 R15 will cost around Rs. 12500 for all 5, where as upgrade to
Potenza 205/60/R15 GIII will cost around Rs. 7000.
Which according to you is a better option if money is not the deciding factor,
I'm looking for Good ride/comfort, decent handling, and GOOD Fuel Economy :-)
Also, with this tyre size, will there be speedo error?

Without doubt the Michelin Pilot Preceda 2.

can I upgrade only 2 of my stock tyres with Michelin Pilot Preceda 2? Will it cause issues if 2 tyres are stock ones and other twos of different make/tread pattern etc?

I am planning to upgrade to Michelin Pilot Preceda 2 205/55 R15 ( costing about Rs 6000). I have run my cedia on stock tyres for about 25K already.

Where are you getting the 205/55 R 15 PP2s? Used or new? They havent been in the market for quite a few months now....

And please dont mix the two different tyres.... PP2s are high performance tyres and you will be wasting their potential if you mix them with the Bridgestone Re88s.

Nikhil, My 205/55 R 15 PP2s have done 40K and was looking for immediate replacement, once again to PP2. I was planning to call you coming week to equire the availability and latest price!

What other options I have? Pilot Sport doesn't come in a size that goes with CEDIA right?

Is Yoko C-drive the best bet?

I was searching for PP2 as it was suggested by many on this thread. I was told by michelin shop on varthur road that it is currently out of stock.
So if PP2 is not available then which is the best tyre for cedia? Thanks for clarification on mixing different makes in tyres. I will avoid that now.

Michelin PP2s are out of the question. It's very sad but they are supposed to be replaced by the PS3 but no stocks of the PS3 in a size suitable for the Cedia will be reaching India for at least 6 months.

Yoko C drive is not available in 205/55 R15. Only in 195/60 R15.

I've said this many times over the past few months and I'll say it again.

It's a sad sad situation for the performance tyre buyer in India.

195/60 R15 is the stock size for CEDIA.
Seems to be only choice available for me as of now!

My stock RE88's have run for 47000 kms and are on their last legs. Now the question is, what should i be replacing them with. I want a set of tires which offer good grip, reasonable FE & comfort and a life of around 40-45K kms.

Options given to me by Sai Iyengar Indiranagar -

Bridgestone RE88 - 4800/tyre
Goodyear GT3 - 4300/tyre
Michelin Primacy LC - 5750/tyre
Yokohoma (dont remember model) - 4x00/tyre

I dont want to change my alloys. Also, considering the spare tire hasnt run more than 100kms, i want to keep it as it is and just change the 4 on the car. Is it advisable ?

None of them are suitable for a Cedia! However out of that the primacy LC is the best bet.

Unfortunately these are the only options in 195/60 R15 :( Primacy LC seems to be more focused for comfort rather than grip, debating between Yoko C Series & Potenza G3\'s.
