Please don't ask the same question in multiple threads.

hello everyone...
did not want to start a new thread for this querry of mine.
I am currently running 185/60 R14 size Yokohama AVS ES 100's on a 2006 Esteem VXi
Now here is the problem.
was looking at the bridgestone india website and decided to check on
what they recommend for the Esteem VXi.
I got a Shock here !!
when i clicked on Esteem VXi from the list , got a pop up window with tyre sizes. They recommed even up to 195/60 R14.
id love to go to 195's from my 185's.
Anyone have any experience with this size ?
please help. Thanks a lot in advance guys.
Boom

Why not 185/60-14 and better tyre brands than federal ?

i thought 185/60 would rub the body on a full load.. so the 55 profile...

and no others give me 185/55 other than federal

i have used 185/60/R13 size tires on my esteem with no issues like underbody scraping or tire scraping the wheel arches etc.

But do keep in mind that with age and wear and tear the esteem's rear suspension can become bouncy and tends to sag causing the car to bottom out. So its safe not to upsize more than what is practically recommended.

Hey I recently replaced the stock JK tyres on our 2004 Esteem VXI with Michelin Certis 175/70/R13. Good tyres and the ride has improved! Total cost for 4 tyres was Rs. 10000.

I too have an esteem and would like to upgrade the tyres to R14. if I'm going for Bridgestone - can someone recommend the best place to get them replaced in Bangalore. Will i be able to change the rims too, in the tyre shops?

thanks,
rajath

Will 195/60 R14's work on a 2006 Esteem vxi ?

Hello everyone
Will 195/60 r14's fit on a 2006 Esteem vxi ?
I am asking this because of the Advan Neova's that are available in 195/60 r14 .I really want to try these tyres out very badly sirs !! :( But im worried about scraping issues with 195's. i have 185/60 r14's right now and no problems even with 5 ppl in the car .
Hence just a quick question about the maximum allowed tyre size on the 2006 esteem vxi ? Would 195/60 r14 fit ? or is 185/60 r14 the maximum allowed ?

What spongled me is the bridgestone site says 195/60 r14 will fit the esteem !!
Not that i am thinking about the GIII's but was pretty puzzled !

Im too scared to go with Michelin pp2's with all the sidewall bulging reports recently. Not to mention south mumbai's roads are like a warzone right now with all the road works going on and potholes and what not.

What would you guys recommend ?

Thanks for reading and for all the help guys !!
cheers !

Assuming the stock size was 175/70 R13, 195/55 R14 and 185/60/R14 are the right upsize.

With 195/60 R14, the difference with stock is 2.5% which is tad too high.

That you sir for the help
i understand about 195/60's being 2.5% higher than stock in OD hence not recommend and now ruled out !!
Would you also happen to know if the Advan Neova Ad-07's are available in 195/55/R14 sir ?
Also is there a chance that i will scrape my front tyres with the wheel arch or something like that while turning ?
Thanks again for all the help sir !
Cheers
