It's a total waste fitting such fat tyres. ZERO advantages and a ton of disadvantages. I dont even think it looks good!

I hate ultrawide HTs on negative offset rims in SUVs.
If you wanna go wide, get A/Ts atleast.

Tyre

Currently I have Bridestone dueler H/T an I like this tyre very much. It looks very wider than the current dueler model. ( I dont know why?).

i am searching for a good tyre which should be 20-30% wider than my current tyre. Any inputs? H/T or A/T will be fine.

I think that they look wider as you have mounted them on alloys. I think that this gives it a wider look

No offense overdose, but when I started looking at the pics of these tyres, I thought that this safari must be from Punjab. On my many trip I have seen many SUV's in Punjab, with baloon tyres.
, if I've hurt any feelings

I also did the same mistake in my gypsy(1998), 275's, but as others have said the advantages, well, at that time I din't know what I was doing, was only looks, and the disadvantages were enormous. The turning radius reduced considerably, the tyres used to rub on the body, fenders etc etc. Steering became very heavy, FE reduced considerably, to name a few. I wouldn't dream of doing the same mistake again.

Not a problem sir,
i know these wiiiiiiiiide tires got lots of disadvantages, 1st of all alignment problem, your safari will never ever have a proper alignment, but my friend (brother is better) likes to have wide tires ( everyone has his own taste). the best choice would be 255/65/16 for DICOR and similar size for TCIC.
and yeah my ma, pa too had similar reaction when they saw the safari,
and i've got 255/65/16 on my DICOR. (just check out my garage).

Agree. Also try to see LTX A/T2. Have been using these and are superb. Comparatively newer so you may have to push the dealer to make them available for you to see.

Need Help with steel rim repair - Safari 2.2VTT

Hi,

One of my rear wheel's steel rim got bent when I hit a pothole. And all the tyre pressure is lost. Currently, I am running on spare.

I need help in getting the bend repaired. I've checked some of the alignment shops. Many of them quote that their machines are not suitable for Safari tyres.

Can you please let me know of a good repair shop in Bangalore which can service these rim repairs for Safari tyres?

Thanks,

I asked around tire shops in Noida, and none of them have a slightly used 235/70R16 rim(safari standard size).
So if any of you NCR people are going to upsize etc., your relatively new tires, please PM me
