Seemingly better grip with somewhat EXTREME handling.
Almost no tire noise in comparision to the bridgestones at 30psi at all speeds.
Ride is SOFT in comparision. maybe because of the 9mm tread on the new tires.
Braking has improved noticeably.

Will post the offroad review after a OTR session.
see ! great tyres right? I was more confident doing high speeds after I got these.

Safari Tyres rubbing on wheel run

Folks,

Safari fitted with 16'' neo wheel alloys. Yokohama geolander tyres 255/60R/16. The tyres rub onto the wheel run from the inside while doing full turns with full occupants (2+2). Wat can be done to avoid it. Already cut the inside flap and about 1 cm of the metal cum rubber board above it

I bought new Tata safari yesterday, Pls let me know How much it is worth to change RIMs to alloys and and Stock tyres to YOKO AT. Tyre dealer is giving me 5000/tyre adn 300 for stock RIM. As per him YOKO AT (255/65/r16)(Rs7200) and X2 8 spoke alloys(RS 18500) will be best fit for Safari.

My Brother SAFARI VTT 1 year old got accidented, yesterday. He was doing 60kmph, when the Front left tyre bursted(How could this happen to a tubeless tyre.). The car pushed to left and whole left(front to back) was badly scratched from sideways by railing of bridge. God knows what would have happened if the railing werenot there. And after that the rear left tyre too got burst.
I want to ask Are these Tubeless Tyres really! safe.

What tubeless tyres were these? I believe the OEMs are Bridgestone Dueler HT right? Could be a bad piece. I believe tyre bursting is more likely in tube tyres than in tubeless. Right?

The Tyres were stock and Tubeless as all VTT comes with tubeless as standard fitment. I am still pulling out my hairs to understand how a tubeless can burst. There was no sign of any nail tearing or any external thing that could have cause that nightmare.

Any tyre can burst. Tubeless or tubetype.

Mercedised, it is difficult to say WHY the tyre burst over an online forum like this. and if a nail or something has caused the tyre to burst, it wont leave any major mark or anything. It is very difficult to know why.

Also, the tyre may have been over inflated or underinflated.

Earlier LX was tubed tyre and EX onwards were tubeless. Anyway if the tyre was tubeless then it should be a defect

Was the pressure in tyres correct ? Once I filled air on highway and found the ride bumpy later checked at another point and pressure was 45 PSI whereas the reading at that place showed 32 seems that for trucks it does not make a difference and pressure gauges are badly calibrated

@amit, Nikhil:
The version was VX 4*4, so, any possibility of it being TUBED goes away + i have personally inspected\driven it regularly as it's my brother's car.
aNY DEFECT IN tyres, well just at the time the front one got burst at second instance of that the rear too got burst. Making a difference of 2-3secs. Rear tyre was is ok condition. But the front one was really snatched out of the RIM. I will try and post pictures to make it more clear. That will help in identifying the real culprit.

@mercedised: Were you running nitrogen in the tyres?
