Thanks guys! Feedback that I got elsewhere is also overwhelmingly in favour of the Geos. Will update once done.

Since another Bridgestone has a bulge now, I have decided to replace that too.
I had already gotten one elanzo.
Thinking of getting another elanzo.
I think if left and right tires are of different tread pattern its a problem.
But if i keep two front tires as JK Elanzo, and 2 rear tires as Bridgestone HT, it should be ok, right?

Yeah, that should be ok. There might be a difference of grip but I doubt it'll be noticeable.

did anyone use 8j rims on safari dicor. are there any technical issues if i use 8j and still keep the tyres to 235/70/16.

also how much is the pricing for different types of rims available in the market. for safari dicor 16inch.

i keep looking at some threads saying that we have to cut the bumpers and stuff like that pls put your thoughts in guys.

I'm not a safari owner. But we had a Zen (98 model) with jk-tyres. Faced the same bulge issue on the side wall (Front left tyre)! The bulge was between the J & K written on the side wall!

At first got it repaired at a local puncture shop! Which didn't last very long. So got in touch with maruti as the vehicle was still in warranty, they forwarded the complaint to JK who eventually replaced both the front tyres, as one tyre is never replaced
(JK-tyres company policy & safety reasons - as cited by them)

They charged us Rs 300/- for the entire process!!

Suman...any update on the geolandars? I'm planning the same on my scorpio, although i'm planning to upsize from my existing 235/75R15 (6J) to 255/70R15. Will there be issues with this? I really need fatter tyres as my stock ones look too skinny. Also, I do not intend to install alloys right now due to budget constraints...so i'm planning that in a couple of months. Any inputs on this?

Guess that's a bit too much.Most accessory shop push 8-8.5J and 16 inch alloys options for Safari are very limited!

Steer used to have 255's on stock alloys; but wider alloys helped handling better as per him IIRC. He uses 7.5J now (?)

Edit:

OE alloys is 6.5J and think steer got 7J.

Thanks to this thread had narrowed down to Michelin AT and Yokohama Geolanders .

Finally went in for the Geolanders today! Had Ceat Rhino on my TCIC - OEMs which did 90k.

Geolander ride is better than the Ceat one and hopefully should help if/when I go off-road!
