Thanks a ton VJ Maverick / KPZen

Minutes back got myself the 175/60/13 and was fighting in my head about 185/65/13 & 175/65/13. Hope I havent done a bad choice (guilty conscience) i mean.

Got them for 8840 (4 nos.) including wheel balancing, had done alignment a couple of days prior at my 3rd servicing.

Yes, am planning to put alloys, but am thinking of waiting till next month as am on my way to bangalore day after morning. Is it ok if I drive on the steel rims and to and fro, hopefully it wont be much of an issue, however will wait for your advice.

BTW - have been getting chinking sounds on everytime i hit a ditch or something - its a little irritating.

Anyways... do revert and thanks in advance AND WISH YOU A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Suggestion to prevent further rusting of the bolts

Hi all,
This is regarding the alloy wheels and I would like to find out the remedies to prevent the rusting of those bolts screwed in to the wheels holding the tire intact. Those bolts are slightly rusty now and its not looking good to me @ all . So is there a way to protect them from further rusting like any anti rust coating or so.

Guys do point me to avoid any rusting of the bolts of the Alloy wheels and if rusted ,how to make them invisible as in some anti rust coating or some painting?

Note to Mods :Sorry could not find any posts which dealt with such an issue and hence posted in this thread of mine itself and if need to be moved elsewhere please let me know.

Thanks JK but is there any anti rust coating or solution that can be coated on the bolts or how about painting the same and i am not sure whether those stainless steel bolts can hold the paint on them.

How does one tackle this problem of rust on the bolts?

You have an Alto1.1 right? It should be the nuts which are getting rusted and not bolts...
Anyways why don't u just get new set of nuts....Are they costly? I don't know..

Yea Rajesh its an Alto 1.1! The nerd i am,yea it might be the nuts and thats a cool solution and i suppose for a set of 4 or 5 wheels, it is affordable and the moron i am, was thinking about those being specific to the wheels and i think i will do that instead of cribbing on the rust.

thanks again.
