guys my dad is planning to take a new wagonr duo which is due for delivery.. i want to add 14 inch alloys with 195/45/14 tyers ....what will be the cost of 14 inch alloyes and also the tyers..which brand should i go

how will the ride be :( after adding 14 inch alloyes

13" tyres dont have the enerygy brand on them since they dont have the silica compound in them which actually renders them to be fuel saving.michelin's energy series start from 14" and michelin has only the xm1 brand on the 13" tyres.on 14" tyres it becomes xm1 energy due to the silica compund.
yes go for the michelin xm1's for your wagon r,they are good overall(comfort.grip,ride,noise).whereas potenza's seem to have higher tyre noise.

Please do not go with the mistaken notion that wider tires will give you better grip. On the contrary it is the thinner of the two which will prevent hydroplaning in the wet. Yes! Today I found that 155/65 R13 is just XM1, not Energy series, and Potenza 165/60 R13 is not avalable anywhere in Hyderabad:Frustrati

The only option ahead of me is 155/65 R13 Michelin XM1 (not energy).:Frustrati

SpeedZak@ I enquired with two different dealers regarding Michelin XM1 165/60 R13, and they said no such tyre exists from Michelin.

I am wondering now if there is any other better option than Michelin XM1. What about Yokohoma, do I get them in Hyderabad?? Back to full circle.please:

175/60's do not go well with Wagon R. If you mean 165/60, Potenza is a good option, but out of stock in Hyderabad.:confused: Maybe I have to settle for Michelin XM1 155/65.

Yokohama doesn't have too many options in 13" (atleast available here in India right now. Though that might change once their official dealerships are operational later this year) and I'm not sure what will be available in your town. Better to check with your local dealers first.

The energy series is available only from 185's onwards. Only difference is the addition of silica compound for a greener world.

I'd recommend Michelin's. The grip is really good in wet as well as dry roads (have taken a curve at 140kmph and i couldnt sense any issues with traction) and ride quality is smooth and silent. Good VFM.

@Ravi, Ashoka wheels is the biggest dealer in AP and he does stock Yokos too. Check it out and even if a bit costlier get it done from him as he is a big and reliable dealer

There is a dealer at Tadbund, opp airport runway, and he is the dealer for michelin. Only 155/65 Michelin XM1 (not energy) is the best option for WagonR left right now for me. He quoted 2240 per tyre. Is it a good price?? Will find out by calling Ashoka Wheels about Yokos.

Right now I want fit the tubeless only with Stock Rims. Would upgrade in October when I get my incentive:).
