Your car looks sooo good with those alloys and tyres SS. Have you done what you mentioned above yet? I am planning something similar for my Estilo with Hella Fogs within the bumper. Need some inspiration for that. So sorry for being off-topic here.

Thanks.

Right now I'm working on a mesh grille DIY method, once that is complete i'll start on the bumper to install the fog lights. I'll post the details and pics when its complete.

folks, heard from one of the tyre dealers here in Chennai that upsizing to a wider tyre would impact the electronic power steering and get it packing up soon. His logic was that an increased effort is required from the the EPS motor to turn a wider tyre. While his reasoning seemed logical, I just wanted to confirm with the experts here if this was actually true. He also confirmed that the effect on EPS is only when you upsize to a really wide tyre and a one or two size (width) upgrade might not matter. This, he says is a problem only in card with EPS, and I'm currently looking at either the Wagon R or the i-10 & both come with EPS so would a tyre upgrade be a problem in the long run ? Pls advise

If it's not a stupid upgrade (like going from a 155 section to a 205) there should be no issues at all. Lots of people have been running massive upsizes on their Swift and have reported no problems with the EPS system.

Gurus please suggest which tyres to go for in 145/70/r13 ?
Is it possible to upgrade to 155 on stock rims ?
What are the options in michellin, yoko, bf goodrich, bridgestone, goodyear etc.
Ride quality is the most important factor.
I would prefer it if the tyre is under 2.5k a piece
I am planning to change the tyres tomorrow.

Pm iraghava or kpzen if you want opinion of tyre Gurus fast!

Otherwise,as akroy has said earlier, you can safely go for the 155/65 R13 upgrade on stock rims.Read the thread dude.Everything is in there.

IMO,options are limited to Michelin XM1,Apollo Acelere and Potenzas.I doubt whether you would get Yokos (A drives) or BFG in that size.

It is pretty easy to choose for that profile. Pls go for 155/65/13 Michelin XM1+. You will never regret.
