Team-BHP - Upgrades for Verna VGT

Got this quote from Super Tyre Tec, JC Road. All for 195/60/R14

Michelin PP (Not PP2) - 4050/- [PP2 is not available in R14]
ES100 - 3000/-
Maxxis MA-V1 - 4200/-
S.drive - 3800/-

Wanted to know how is Maxxis MAV1. Also, the old PP is it as good as PP2? Came to know that S.drive while is very good in performance, the tread wear is high. Is this so? Anyone having S.drive?

At this price I would prefer the PP's or the S-Drive's over the Maxxis any day. But that is purely my opinion.

Try this 205/55 R 15 yoko S drive. It will cost you 3700/- per tyre. This could be a better option for your Verna.

I have one of my friend having the same setup on OZ alloys on his verna. This has got an amazing road grip.

i took verna sx abs on 19 july 2007, i modified with prestege wheels 15" Rs 21000/-, nankang tyres 205/55-15 Rs 20000/-, llumar atr 20% charcoal Rs 1600/-, semileather seats and stearing cover Rs4500/-.
i got only Rs 12500/- for old wheel and tyres.

Hi All,
Its time for me to change the stock 14" mrf zvts 170/70/R14 tyres on my Verna VGT. It has been over 2 years since I brought the car and has run 37K kms. The front tyres looks totally worn out, where as the rears and the stepnee are in good condition. I had the rotation done on the last service that was at 28K.

Please advice whether I should change all 5 or just change the front tyres for now?

I would like to stick to the stock size unless upsizing will really help. I am looking for good grip, ride comfort and better mileage. Please suggest which brand and model should I ask for when approaching the dealers.

I would also like to go for alloys - again my query is whether 15" will help in anyways or staying with 14" is better? Please advice on the brand of alloys I should consider.

Im getting a new Verna 1.5 CRDI SX last week of this month. The standard car comes with 185 65 R14 on Alloys. I have specifically asked for Bridgestones and not MRF. The Bridgestone model is B250 tubeless. In this situation, do you suggest an upgrade or will I be fine with this set? Will appreciate your advice.

If u have plans to upgrade then get the new set within couple of days of your purchase so that you get the best possible buy back value for your B250s.

can someone please give me a comparison/review specifically for the verna, for xm1 vs yoko s drives, and also 195/60/r14 vs 195/65/r15. I am looking to upgrade and am confused between the combination of tire brand and size I should go for. I am upgrading for better handling and a slightly heavier steering, but dont want to end up with a bumpy and irritating ride.
