New footwear for estilo.

Hi guys,

The handling and comfort in stock estilo to say the least is horrible on those JKs. So guys, please suggest me a good upgrade for zen estilo. Going through various threads, I've been able to decide the following with few doubts

Tyre size : 165/60-13 or 175/60-13. I don't want the tyres to be scrapping the body every now and then.

I think I'd like to go for alloy as well because the stock steel rims are 4j i think, and are not right for 165s or 175s width. I have no clue about alloy but i want decent looking chrome alloys, not very expensive.

Tyres I'm considering are Potenza G3, Yoko C Drive, Michelin Energy XM1. Now I'm not very sure if they are available in the size reqd. Please confirm and let me know. I've ES100 on honda vtec and I truly love them. SO i m more inclined towards Yokos.

Suggestions welcome. Thanks a lot

Am not at all sure about 165/65- 13 with 5.5j alloys for an Estilo.

Cause i have heard that they mess with the sidewalls for the WagonR. Same should be the case with Estilo also, although i am not sure. Please get that clarified from the dealer.

155/65-13 or 165/60- 13 would be the correct sizes. As comfort is your priority, Michelin energy XM1 would be the best bet.

Yoko only has 175/60 R13 in their A300 pattern. Not sure about the Energy's sizes.

I would suggest 165/60 though to avoid scraping the arches.

175/60 R13

Dear

one of my friends has put 175/60 R13 in Zen Estilo, no fouling problems..

In fact, in 175/60 R13 overall diameter change is only 1.3% whereas in case of 165/65 R13 the same changes by 2.2%.
So choose your shoes....

Happy and safe motoring

hey guys,

thanks a lot for the replies.

unfortunately, dad told me not to go for wheel upgrade in estilo.... as its with mom most of the time and she drives at not more than 60 kph.

anyways... am able to convince him for new footwears for m800 which is with me all the time. so some suggestions on this front. 165/60-12 or 165/65-12. ....

i also went to karol bagh for enquiring. I found Pirelli sigma to have really cool tread design and the tyre dealer highly recommended it. Does anyone know about them

Some ppl have issues with 175 and some dont, it all depends on the size(width) of the rim and its offset.
