Hi Manju -

What does Ldi rims look like? Are they black (vxi type) or silver coated (Lxi type)?

We are not talking about the Tyre

We are talking about the RIM

We want to know if the Silver RIM of LXi is same as Black RIM of VXi

I have been told that Silver LXi rim is slightly less width - but need to confirm this.

Kicks - Manju is asking for the Wheel Rim width, not the tyre size.

Yes, indeed I am asking for Rim size whether it is 4j or 4.5j or 5j or 5.5j or 6j.

This information will help us to make the call, however Maruti never mentions this anywhere . Where as many others like Mahinder mentions the same in specification.

regards,
-manju

dude, maruti mentions the rim sizes in the service booklet. You will have to find it.

Ldi and Vdi comes with 5J.
In petrol one with 165/80/ R14 with 5J and the one with 185/70 R14 with 5.5J.

Read the booklet carefully and you will find it.

Please read Jaggu's post carefully. It is 5J for all Swift rims save for the ZXi's alloy wheels which are 5.5J.

Thanks horsepower. Yes indeed I found it in the service booklet. Here is the info from service booklet.

ITEM: Wheel and Suspension
Tyre size, front and rear 185/70R14 or 165/80R14
Rim size 185 tyre: 14 x 5˝JJ, 165 tyre: 14 x 5J

Interestingly, for 185/70R14, the rim size is 5.5JJ, rather than J

Manju, I understand whats going on in your head. Even I was confused, when I was about to get my car.

14 inch or 15 inch was the question in my mind. I decided to play safe as car was going to be used by all the members. Moreover, 185/70 R14 comes factory fitted in Zxi. So, if there is a suspension issue, dealer cannot put blame on tyres. It was also my first time experimenting with tyres, so was little apprehensive.

Let me tell you one thing, you cannot do something wrong when you are on team-bhp. Members here have collectively explored all the options and discussed pros and cons.

So go ahead and buy what appeals you more and what members recommend.
