RIM straightner Shops in Delhi

Hi,

Oflate I have noticed that all the Rims in my XETA have gone out of shape, I was wanting to know where can I find good RIM Straightner and what is the cost involved.

Do I also need to get the Wheels Rebalanced and Alignment also, Since I'm approaching 20,000 km and not have had that done as of yet.

Since MCD sealings had closed down a number of shops, I can't find one.

Thanks

I would suggest the pradeep (?) arcade close to LSR. where you have the TSF. At the start is a sardarji's shop that is pretty good.

Our xeta's suffered extensive balancing issues and the stock JK tyres are about to be replaced (in two, the steel wiring is almost showing) - would you recommend tubeless tyres on the xeta rims?

This is a complaint with all Indicas.
Softer compound with a slight downsize might make a lot of difference.

There is a shop in Jangpura/Bhogal main market which specialises in straightening rims & repairing alloys. It is on the main road, don't remember the name now but you can find it since it's pretty famous.

Yes they do, I had two of my tyres replaced around two weeks back and all 5 rims straightened. the charges are Rs 80 per wheel if all 5 are done. The total charges were Rs 5300 for two new JK Tornados 165/65with tubes, allignment, balancing and straightening of all 5 rims.

Tyre Shoppe is located in Sector 5 Noida.

You are talking about Ajit Singh & Sons.

Apparently, he is the only one in Delhi who fixes Alloys. Anyone else you take your alloys to will also eventually get it done from there. Contact is +91.11.24376803

Ajit Singh & Sons Engineering Works

Of late, I found the cause of wobbling - a bent alloy wheel. On searching, I found this thread and called Ajit Singh & Sons.

They have closed their shop in Bhogal. Their office is shifted to "Defence Colony Fly Over Market" while workshop is relocated to Bawana Industrial Area.

Here are the contact details:

Workshop:
O-135, Sector - 2, Bawana Industrial Area
09871534058

Office:
Shop no. 235, Defence Colony Flyover Market
011- 24376803

I drove all the way to Bawana to their workshop as I wanted to get all the wheels checked and repaired in a single go. They identified only 1 wheel as faulty, honest people I would say. Wheel was repaired in an hour or so. There was one Fiat Adventure alloy being repaired too. Rest being steel rims of various cars. In all I saw around a dozen rims.

As they only repair wheels and do not balance them, one needs to visit tyre shop for balancing. When repaired wheel was put on balancer, it needed 20g and 30g weights on each side. Balancing guy was like - "Wheel is repaired perfectly, weights requirement is similar to factory fresh alloy".

Considering new Palio Alloy costs 7500/-, repairing charges were only 500/-
