Jayd i am not looking for period rims (have two sets) for the car. am looking for modern rims that would give a sporty look to the car.

I would suggest using this design or getting a BBS wheel, IMO they would also look pretty nice but are prohibitively expensive.
I totally agree- There is Nothing to Beat Originality! and according to the period of the car. I myself get tempted so often, but stick to originals. Maximum, an AMG or BBS, again of that period!
Four seasons have some second hand sets Im told by Gogi.

the car has been painted to the colour that you see it in black/blue. it is going through the fitting stages. polishing is left so the shine would come then.

my first choice was the BBS period rim design that i had seen on a 300sd. i was also told of a 123 that was broken and had BBS wheels but they got sold. i have also informed REZA at four seasons to let me know if there are rims that would suit the car.
personally i like sticking to originals but since i am installing the JBL ICE in the car and will be useing it everyday i figured i could upsize the wheels. i can always change the wheels again to original.

ishan i am also talking to the guys at mercedes if they have any period rims taken off from any of the w123's that have been scrapped or damged. if i do not get them then i would prefer mercedes rims and last the BBS wheels. yes the design does look alot like the period wheels for the car so i might reconsider the options. have inquired with four seasons and they are to let me know if they have a set in 16". the expense is not a problem here but the availability in 16" is.

do you have any website of theirs or contact details ishan. i did ask at four seasons who are distributors for BBS in bombay. the problem i dont know the model number of this rim as the website was not opening all the designs. so am relying on what four seasons has in stock.

I ageer with Iragav.. you cannot go wrong with this BBS design. This is more a BMW touch but will go very well with its Merc fellow country men.
