| ![]() OEM GoodYear Tyres - 165/80/R14 Swift Dzire - Old Model. Lasted 4 years - 22k kms. They are not even totally bald; so I just dont understand how come they lasted so less? Or is it alright considering the less driving but 4 years? |

| ![]() 1st change after ~ 45000 kms Michelin Tyres Tubeless - 145/80/R12 Steel Rims, Pair of Front tyres Alto Lxi - 2004 model Lasted 4 years - 40000 kms. Status: Slight show of ridges, but sidewall had a puncture hole which was beyond repair and required replacement. While it lasted, it was smooth and lesser noise compared to MRF ZVTS which were fitted on rear wheels. |

| ![]() Car: Maruti Ritz VDi 1st change: 61,000 kms Rims: Steel Rims Tyres: Bridgestone S248 (165/80 R14) Replaced the same again and sold it off when the car was 1,07,959 kms. __________________________________________________ __________________ Car: Maruti Swift ZDi 1st change: 54,000 kms Rims: Alloys Tyres: MRF ZVTV (185/65 R15) >> These are the ones that I got from factory and they lasted 54K kms where the TWI was nearing its end. I have 50:50 city-highway with speeds ranging between 90-110 kmph so didn't want to take the risk hence got it changed to MRF Z.L.O (195/60 R15). 2nd change: 60,200 kms Rims: Alloys Tyres: MRF Z.L.O (195/60 R15) >> Used these set of tyres for 6,200 kms and got rid of them due to a peculiar humming noise that was felt between 40-55 kmph. Got MRF ZVTV under warranty in exchange for the defective ZLO's. Went to the tyre dealer and got 4 new Michelin XM2. Current Set: Odometer: 60,200 kms Rims: Alloys Tyres: Michelin XM2 (195/60 R15). Been nearing 3000 kms on the Michelin's and loving every meter of the drive. |

| ![]() My erstwhile Fiat Linea's 4 stock OE 195/60 R15 Good Year GT3 tubeless were replaced with the same brand/size at 51,900 km after 3 years on 25 Sep 2012 at Tyre Zone, Manimajra, Chandigarh, costing ₹ 17,600 with a heavy duty JK Tyre-branded traveller's bag as a compliment, which I am using even now! ![]() My present Mahindra XUV 500's stock OE 235/65 R17 JK Elanzo NXT tubeless have already covered more than 41,000 km in 2 years and still going strong without even a puncture! ![]() |

BHPian | ![]() I replaced OE tyres of my Skoda Rapid (Apollo Accelere 175/70 R14) after 41000km / 3.75 years of use. Two of the tyres were good for another 10k km when replaced, as I upgraded them to 185/70 R14 MRF ZLO. |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() 2010 Toyota Innova-205/65 R-15 Stock tyres-Goodyear GT3 Worst tyres. No wet grip, average dry grip, noisy Lasted for 60,000km First tyre change-Bridgestone B390 Decent tyres, average wet grip, decent dry grip but noisy. Had lots of punctures too. Lasted 50,000km Second tyre set:Michelin XM2+ Excellent wet grip, no aqua planing at all, decent nvh (still not silent ) Lasted for 56,000km or 16 months but worth it. Only 2 punctures in a year. Third and running set:Michelin XM2+ done 20,000km in 6 months. Not a single puncture yet performing as expected. These tyres stick to the road as a leech and the sidewalls flex enough so the suspension has to work less. All in all worth every penny. Highly recommended. | ![]() Hi I own a Scorpio VLX. I bought this in 2009.It came with Bridgestone tyres. What I want to know is that I have done more then 1,40,000 kms on my original tyres. Is that some thing normal or unusual? I feel there is still some life left in the tyres. Last edited by Aditya : 4th June 2017 at 17:22. Reason: Capital letters added |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Drove 18600 kms on stock vectra tyres of the Swift DeZire 2008 model. In 6 years the car did only 18600 which made the tyres hard and it just ripped while driving in a spirited manner to Manori. ![]() Changed to Michelin XM2 right after, the tyres are doing well so far. One bubble so had 2 new tyres installed a few months ago. Overall there's no much difference between the old and new tyres in terms of thread. Even after 20,000 Kms, the tyres are brilliant! However, don't like the wet grip much. But dry grip is pretty good avoiding a close call many times! |

| ![]() The original stock tyres which came with my Ritz VDi 2011 model (165 70 R14) lasted for 87,500 Kms over a period of 5 years. Even I was surprised by the performance. I maintained it by rotating the tyres every 20,000 Kms and getting wheel balancing and alignment done every 5000 Kms. Replaced it with Goodyear tyres at TBHP recommended Star Wheels, Gurgaon and my father has used it for around 15,000 Kms on it after I sent the car to Bhubaneswar. The owner of Star Wheels was also amazed at the performance of the stock tyres. Last edited by jbpanda : 4th June 2017 at 00:18. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Car: 2007 Honda Civic. Tires: Bridgestone Turanza ER 60 205 65 R15. Year of MFG : Aug 2011 Lasted: 50k kms Reason for change: Had dry rot type minute cracks on them. The tires could have done easily done another 20k as it had decent tread on them but i decided to do away with them as I did not feel safe driving with the minute cracks they had developed and due to the tires age. Switched to Turanza T001. Last edited by sumeethaldankar : 4th June 2017 at 08:37. |
