What happened was, when i went to change my all five, they had only four. So went and picked up fifth one when he had it in stock after about a week. Now last week, when i had a puncture, i noticed the fifth one is a xm1+ and yes it is a 175/70R13.
Yeas, XM1+ is now available in 13" & even in 12"! Slowly, XM1 is going to be phased out in India & is being replaced by XM1+.

If 155/70-13 size is available in XM1+, I will switch to XM1+ for my Santro. Right now I am using Turanza ER-60, which is quite good.

XM1+, at the price it's being sold, I believe one is better off getting the PP's or PP2's. or maybe they have increased rates for these as well.

Thanks but already settled for XM1+ .. its decent and getting better with use though. PP2 would have been really nice to take to track though.

Yup i got a quote of Rs.3910 for PP2 and Rs.3940 for XM1+ for 185/60 R14 size. Was really shocked to hear that.

Regarding manufacture , me and a couple of friends poured over the tyre but there was no info about it anywhere unless its on the inner sidewall. The dealer at Tyrestore said they get tyres from Thailand,China and sometimes even France depending on where there is excess manufactured but doesnt really make any difference.

Thats what I said. If there is not much price difference, I guess the PP2 is better than XM1+.btw, I have the XM1 and no complaints.

The grass is greener...

Doesn't PP2 come under the performance category and have a much lesser Mileage (Tyre mileage) than XM1+? If you do not need performance tyres why go for PP2 and change tyres more frequently?

Yes, PP2's are performance category tyres and will last about 10-15k kms less than XM1+'s given usage conditions are same for both.

michelin xm1+

175/65 R 14 XM1+ costs Rs. 3400/- per tyre at Super tyre tec.

They take back the OE stock 165/65 R 14 for Rs. 1600/- per tyre since these are brand new.

Has anybody bought Michelin XM1+ recently? Are these good prices?

How much would brand new OE stock 175/65 R 14s fetch me (tube type), both from Bridgestone and Goodyear, in exchange for the same size tubeless ones.

What brand of tires were his - Goodyear, Bridgestone, ...

Generally, during an exchange, how much of a price difference exists between tubeless and tube type tires of this size.
