Hey guys,
I drive a 32000+ kms run NHC, had given it for service recently and was told that the life of my tires were over as they are worn out, and that i needed to get them changed:confused: . However i felt that i still could use them for sometime but the service center guy told me that it would be dangerous at high speeds as i wouldnt have enough grip on the tires :Frustrati . These are completely stock and have not been changed ever. The car presently runs on bridgestone 14inchers. I have been eying a few rims on passing NHC's and have got an idea of the design of the rim needed. Its the tires that have me confused, altough i have read quite a lot over the forum on NHC tyres i just donno what to choose!!! hence im listing out what i need the most from my tires,
Fuel efficiency is a first priority
Comfort
Less tire noise
Any suggestions on what to put n where would be very helpful, I wouldn't want to spend much on the tyres as im saving up for the ICE in december :D. I reside in mumbai. Thank you all in advance

175/65 R14 YOKO A300 or Michelin En XM1.
Best tyres on low NVH.
Yup, I too would suggest either the Yoko's or Michelin's in stock size as you're looking for FE & Ride Comfort.
Yes, I back @ itzzme for the tyres and as far as alloys, I would suggest League as they are lighter than most other brands which will help you in getting good FE.
Yokohama A300 and Michelin Energy XM1 should serve u the best.
Hey guys, thankx for all yre replies, altough i would like to know if would ride comfort and FE go down considerably if i put on 15 inchers?? tires would be the same one's you all suggested.

FE would only go down marginally but the ride quality would definitely go down. My suggestion - stick with 14".

Went to closing tyre shop with a friend today and kinda looked around for the required tires, Michelin Energy XM1 (yes those are the one i have chosen for my ride as suggested by my fellow T-Bhpians). Was in a little bit of a hurry as was pretty late and the shop was almost closed so just thought of asking the dealer for the price, when i saw something that got me completely confused. Ther are supposedly 3 series in the Michelin xm1 range i.e. 70, 65 and 60 series. The dealer wasnt present, another person was at the place who had no knowledge of these series tough he did tell me there are 3 different series in that range. I went through the michelin india site and just could not understand anything from the table given. Posting the link below

The series you are referring to is the aspect ratio (one of the tire size parameters). you will get more inputs on tires and wheels in the following link -

Stick with your stock size and u would never go wrong.
