Verna 16inchers ?

Hey friends, finally booked my Verna CRDi SX ABS in Midnight Grey skin. Planning on upsizing the tyre but am not sure of 15" or 16".This is what I have planned :

15" - Lenso RC2 Alloys , Michelin PP2 205/50/R15

16" - Lenso MW Alloys , Goodyear Eagle NCT5 205/45/R16

I basically use my car only for short commutes, wont be using the highways very often. But you guys know Bangalore roads so please help me decide which is the best choice for comfort and noise levels.

Hi vittalnrv,

Stick to 15s to avoid scraping your Verna's wheelarches (full load) on Bangalore's 'roads'and keep a minimum aspect ratio of 50 for ride comfort.

Further, stay FAR away from the Goodyear NCTs! The PP2s are a zillion times better. Also consider the Yokohama S-Drives.

You can also check out Sam Kapasi's hilarious detailed thread on th Yoko somethings, Michelin thatthings and one piece Lucky Paaji

hi Vittalnrv,

- 195/60/15 (as suggested by pradeep) for ride comfort aswell as grip.
- 205/50/16 - saw this size in special edition of verna in advaith showroom with yoko s-drives.

Yes it will be lowered by 6mm but its a good upsize for Verna.

I think 205/55 R15 is better option for Verna.

195/60-15 is a wrong upsize.. 2.4% difference in OD.
I wonder how the bumper lip is touching. U can remove that if u want too.

195/55-R15 is giving -0.8% error. This is very close to Verna factory option alloy -tyre combination (error is -0.7%) So I think this is the best option.

But I am not sure about the ride quality on Highways? Any comments?
