Between the Indian brands of alloys such as Neo, Aura, Apollo etc, WHICH brand is the best and why? I have heard that Neo is heavier than Aura etc.

Based on research what I did for indian condition we need very strong alloys, hence most of indian alloys are heavy, I have heard Aura is much heavier than imported ones.

I noticed Innova Stock alloys being manufactured in hyderbad are heavier than other 15 inch alloys. Same with many other stock slloys which shows they manufacture stock RIMS/alloys which would last long for Indian roads.

Thats why even in small incidents imported Alloys will break very fast but on other hand they offer excellant handling, excellant design, slightly increased FE.

Neo has few very good designs.

I currently have 185/70 R14 stock alloys and Tubeless on my Swift Zxi. I want to upgrade to the low profile ones. I am currently looking out for a good set of Rims and Tyres. I have narrowed down to Yokohama S.Drive or Advan Sport tyres. Do you guys think 16" Rims will suit the car without making it suffer or will that be pushing it too far.

The tires i was looking at is 205/45 R16 or a 205/50 R16 S.Drive Yokohama.

I am looking a 12 or more spoked chrome or Silver finish rims. I will be retaining the stock rims and tires in case i have to take her out of town. Dont want to use the low profile ones for long journeys.

Any advice will be really helpfull.

If you are putting low profile rubber on Indian roads, IMHO expect the ride quality to go for a big six! :)

I dont want the really thin looking ones. But the mediocre which looks good and is better for Indian roads too.

Do you think it would be easy on Swift with a 16" alloys or 15" ?

How do you interpret the rim size from the League site ?

Hi swiftron, i bought a diesel swift recently 6 months ago n i was in a dilemma whether to go on for 15 incher or 16 ,the service section guy in mandovi suggested me to go for a 15 inch wheel he said 16 inch might adversely effect the suspension .........i am currently using 205/60R15 and iam having a trouble free ride ..........i usually go out of town and ther is no need to worry abt the clearence nor the ride quality

Unfortunately it seems that the A189 is not available in size 13" :(

Do Lenso and League come only in 14 and above? Nothing for 13"??

Yeah apart from that you get brands like Flying Eagle, K-Racing or something like that. Indian brands like Neo & Aura are an option too.

Unfortunately your theory doesnt hold the fact. It is the manufacturing process and quality control which determines strength of a wheel. There are different types of manufacturing a wheel. Technics in foundry determine strenght of a wheel for eg hot forging, cooling time, temperatures...etc.

Unfortunately all the chinese.taiwanese..and all the aura ..neos... treat a wheel as a metal piece rather than a performance product in automotive hence heavy weight and breaking ..bends, cracks etc... It doesnt mean the companies are bad.. it means for the amount of money a market can pay, they have designed their process. This is the whole reason why for eg .. a HR are 45k for 4 wheel set against Ozs , 90k for 4 wheel set.

Wheels simply wont be costly, there is specific reason for that. To my knowledge, I would prefer goin in for a oz or bbs or...... XYZ at 90k rather than junk at 45k. Why cant anyone spend 40k extra where you just get a more finished product with nice look and a big brand and ofcourse quality wise like 10 times excellent. Its just not the shape you need to look at its what is made of? and how its made? One word Big brands are made better and serve better.

@davis.k can you please tell which hr alloy cost 45k for set of 4 and what size.

I was referring to the above comment made by kishanan and I said for eg: so I didnt mean specifically any Hr or Plati etcc. I was just making a point which you guys might need in your decision making.
