No if you're careful 15" will not be a problem.

I guess you mean the mud guard rather than the mud flaps. When I say mud flaps, I am referring to the black plastic/rubber thingies at the side, behind the wheels. Surprised that the wheels scrape the mud guards in the rear wheel.. never happened to me even with 3 people sitting and a big sub woofer in the boot.

Ooh yes spadival it is the same plastic flaps am referring to.My rear wheels scrape these flaps with 3 people.

Hmmm so that means I'll go with my heart, i.e. 15 inchers ;-) . I was thinking I'll save some money by going for 14 inchers and use that for a CAI.But anyway now 15 inchers it'll be.

This is a very tough question for all baleno owner because two of the best profiles for baleno IMHO is 195/60R14 and 195/55R15.

It depends on the kinda driving you do. If you are a little careful on bad roads then you can have fun with the 15 inchers most of the time. The 15 will give you best compromise of handling of good roads and awesome lane changing and cornering as if on rails. This is assuming the same make of tyres on both 14 inchers and 15 inchers.....

If you are the kinda rough driver, inspires by rally guys, blasting through most roads and prefer to power over small bumps and dips then you are better with the 14 inchers and a good tyre with tough sidewall....

The trade off for the 14 inchers is in terms of looks and extreme cornering and high speed lane changes. 14 inchers can handle very well most situations and you average speed will be much higher with these on most of our Indian roads.

Heart says 15....Brain says 14.......

Depends on the tyres. I would say 195/60 14 Advan Neovas, followed by 195/55 15 Advan Neovas. Anything over 195 is overkill unless you're running some serious horsepower.

What options are there in 195/60 R 14 for the Baleno?

I have come down to the following three

1. Michelin PP2 - 4200
2. Potenza G3 - 3700
3. Yoko ES 100 - 3200

What are the other perfomance options available and the prices? I dont have too many options in 14 inchers

Hankook ventus rs2.Have tried these out on an ikon(185.65/14)What brillian tires for the price(Rs 3200).I rate them higher than the es100s

I'm thinking Neovas. They'll be worth the wait.

I dont really think kaushik_s is going to throw the car around so much that he needs the neovas.Added to the fact that they will be frikkin expensive when they are launched officially.

I think Mohit is looking at something with a little grip, and I also think he is looking at having his horses multiply. Anyway, I can't really say how expensive they will be, but even at PP2 + 10%, they will still be more grip for the buck than the PP2s.

Ok fine, wait for the the neovas since you have to.

How are the Yokohama S-drives compared to the one listed here ? I've been thinking about these tires.I got a quotation of 4k for 195/55/15.Also I would like to know what's the age of these tires?Around 40k ?
And yeah, i'm not going to through the car in the corners.I do drive fast but not in corners.
I'll be waiting for another month to get the tires[already spend the alloted money into something else], and let's hope I'll be able to made up my mind till then. And probably this time I'll let my heart choose it then my head.

Almost forgot to mention, I just got my hands on some BFGoodrich g-Force Sport tyres. I think 195/60 R14 is among the sizes available.
