re: Hyundai Accent : Tyre & wheel upgrade thread Hi guys,
I am looking for new tyres for my Hyundai Accent, stock size 175/70/r13. Current tires still have tread left but I feel the ride has become hard even with 30 psi. I can see very thin cracks appearing too. Tyres are 4 yrs old.
My usage - The car is used only once or twice a week + a 500km outstation trip once in about 4 months.
Roads here are bad - dug up, potholes, construction debris, pebbles, stones etc.
Expectation - better stopping power, reasonably tough to withstand the stress of being stationary most of the time and of bad roads, Sturdy sidewalls - at the same time the ride shouldn't be so hard that it spoils the fun of driving.
My Car would rarely see 140 kmph. My comfortable highway speed is between 90 to 120 kmph.
I am considering-
Bridgestone b 250/290/ s322
Apollo accleres (have these been replaced with Alnac ?)
Kenda kr 23 (very inexpensive, so even if I replace them after 3 years, It should be fine). Or Hankook/ Kumho.
Michelin/ Turanza (not sure if I should go for these considering my usage)
I intend to replace them this week.
Thanks in advance!! |
